Police Attack For Bolshevism editor

On Sunday 3rd of October comrade Kevin Cain chief editor of the "For Bolshevism " journal,
translator for the AUCPB and moderator of the Yahoo group For Bolshevism was subjected to an unprovoked, unprecedented and brutal attack by police.

Comrade Kevin had gone with several thousands of others to protest at the opening of the ruling Conservative party conference at which huge spending cuts and attacks on the unemployed and poor are being announced. The authorities refused to allow the protestors to march near the conference and rooted it away from the conference.

Comrade Kevin was marching with his Red "For Bolshevism" between the contigent of the
CPGBML and the "direct action" bloc. When the "direct action" bloc broke away and subsequently were "kettled" by the police comrade Kevin went to observe what was
happening.
We would emphasise here that Kevin did not break any laws or do anything wrong,he did not rush police lines or anything like that,he went to observe what was happening.

The police first began attacking with police dogs, these ran away barking and snapping at people.A police officer shouted "Get that one" pointed at Kevin and 6 police officers went to attack him.Kevin run and jumped over a wall to avoid being bitten by mad police dogs. The 6 police officers then jumped on top of Kevin. He sustained injuries to his hand, head and back. The police held him in a van for a while but in the end released him without charge. He was given first aid treatment intially by a police medic then by someone from the Right to Work campaign and later went to the Stafford general hospital.
This is an outrageous and repressive attack on democratic rights and there is some legitmate suspicion that comrade Kevin was singled and targetted by the state for his revolutionary and anti imperialist activities.
We condemn the reactionary imperialist police for their brutality and repression. We express full solidarity with comrade Kevin and call for a proper investigation .
of the incident.
