On August 1, employees of the enterprise "Blagoustroistvo" went on strike. The strike was organized by the workers in order to obtain the release of the retained earnings.
After the beginning of the protest action, the strikers received a notice about the transfer of money to their salary cards. However, the employees were not given full amounts of their earnings. Thus, the strike ended in a partial victory of the workers.

Strike by seamen from the Rostov region
On August 1, Russian citizens started a strike in the Turkish port of Tuzla. The sailors of the ship, assigned to the port of the city of Taganrog, resorted to the strike because of the long delay in payment of wages.
At the time of the start of the protest, the crew members had not received the money for the period from March to July 2017.
To protect their labor rights, the crew intends to demand the negotiation of a collective agreement.

Rally in Saratov
In the evening of August 10, a protest action was held in the Victory Park of the Leninsky district of the city against the abolition of regional benefits. More than 300 people took part in the rally.
The speakers told the Saratov people about the plans of the regional authorities to reduce the benefits, including veterans, for payment of housing services. Questions of lawlessness by management companies, corruption in the implementation of improvement programs, repair of outside areas, recreation areas of the city, as well as problems of the local water canal and "Gorelectrotrans" were raised.

Desperate protest action by Novosibirsk workers
In early August, builders, who did not receive a salary for several months, climbed the tower crane and demanded payment for their labour.
After the workers were brought their money, they climbed back down. The debt to them was more than 200 thousand rubles.
The first such case in Novosibirsk occurred in May. In the Oktyabrsky district of the city, a builder climbed to the boom of a tower crane and announced the decision to jump down due to months of salary delays. As a result, the man was paid his wages.

Strike by workers in Georgia
On August 9, more than 100 employees who are laying a 12-kilometer stretch of the Samtredia-Grigoleti road, gathered at the company's office in Lanchkhuti and demanded higher wages, as well as better working conditions and food. In addition, the strikers announced the need for timely issuance of special clothing.
The salary, according to the participants in the strike, is about 14-19 laris, which is only 6-8 dollars a day.
