DPRK Will Make No Concession and Compromise: Rodong Sinmun

DPRK Will Make No Concession and Compromise: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- The U.S. and its followers are making much ado as if they are interested in the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, a foolish scheme to wrest a concession and compromise from the DPRK which bolsters a war deterrence, says Rodong Sinmun Monday in an article.
The building of an economic power and a thriving socialist nation in the DPRK would be unthinkable apart from bolstering the nuclear force, the article notes, and goes on:
The hostile forces are panic-stricken, fearing that if the DPRK achieves economic prosperity, their hostile policy toward it will end in failure.
The U.S. persistent hostile moves against the DPRK were prompted by its uneasiness that if it does not stifle the latter, it can not put the Asia-Pacific region under its control nor realize its ambition for world domination.
The imperialists have threatened and blackmailed those countries which tried to increase the defense capability for self-defense and build a nuclear deterrence by dint of military pressure and economic sanctions, and appeased and deceived them, talking about economic aid and restoration of relations.
The hostile forces should clearly understand that the DPRK is by no means Iraq or Libya.
As long as there remain the imperialists on the earth and nuclear threat to the DPRK, its nuclear force is a national treasure which it will never dismantle nor barter for anything.
The DPRK which codified nuclear possession will make positive efforts to prevent nuclear proliferation, defend the peace and security in Asia and the rest of the world and realize global denuclearization as a responsible nuclear weapons state.
The DPRK's nuclear deterrence can never be subject to political bargaining and economic dealings.
The U.S. should halt a foolish act of trying to make the strategic line of the Workers' Party of Korea a bargaining chip. -0-
