From the statement of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Belarus on January 27, 2015:

The Central Committee of the AUCPB declares:

1. We condemn the crimes of the Ukrainian army and right-wing volunteer military formations, which, like their spiritual predecessors, the Nazi fighters, unleashed an aggressive war in the Donbass. As a result of this civil fratricidal war, peaceful innocent people are dying, cities and villages are being destroyed, factories and factories are falling into disrepair, fields are being overgrown, and the infrastructure of the region, which is already living in a humanitarian catastrophe, is being destroyed.

2. We demand to stop the aggression against the working Donbass - once the pride of the Ukrainian industry in the Soviet era and stop the genocide of the people of Novorossia. It is necessary to give the population of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics an opportunity to build their future in accordance with the results of the most democratic procedure - the referendum held on May 11, 2014. As you know, in the referendum, 89.07% of the residents of the Donetsk People's Republic and 90.53% of the Lugansk People's Republic who came to the polls voted for state sovereignty, i.e. independence from the Ukrainian state.

3. We support the intention of the armed forces of Novorossiya (DNR and LNR), in fulfillment of the will of the people expressed in the referendum, to liberate their territory from the occupation by the Kiev punishers up to the administrative borders of the former Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

4. We believe that the Minsk agreements, as the previous months have shown, do not lead to a resolution of the conflict situation in Donbass. The beginning of the January offensive of the armed forces of Ukraine means the failure of the “Minsk process”. Citizens of the DPR and LPR have learned from their bitter experience that the Kyiv regime, led from Washington, without receiving a rebuff, is becoming more and more impudent. Moreover, we are confident that as long as a neo-Bandera fascist government is in power in Kyiv, there will be no peace in Ukraine. Thus, in order to achieve sustainable peace on Ukrainian soil, it is necessary to overthrow the fascist regime, because. The Nazis never gave up power voluntarily.

5. We note that the definition of fascism as a synonym for Nazism, which has recently been interpreted by the bourgeois media (in particular, Russian), is incomplete and simplified. The All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks), long before the start of the Great Patriotic War, defined Nazism in Hitler's Germany as one of the manifestations of fascism, and the true essence of fascism is the open terrorist dictatorship of the most reactionary groups of capital. By the way, both are present in the political system of modern Ukraine, so the Kyiv regime clearly falls under the definition of “fascist”.

Hence the conclusion: the leaders of Western countries supported the fascist coup in Ukraine and are currently supporting the fascist Kyiv regime. However, we must not forget the lessons of history:  having generated fascism in Ukraine for the war against Russia, its creators will eventually receive it in Europe , and then the fate of the current European “democrats” will be unenviable.

6. We appeal to the leadership of the Russian Federation: it is necessary to openly acknowledge, finally, the results of the referendums in the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, and, as a result, officially recognize their state independence. This will increase the degree of confidence of their population in Russia and give them confidence in the fight against the Kiev punishers, as well as change the entire political situation in the region in favor of the anti-fascist forces friendly to Russia.

7. We appeal to the working people of Ukraine: despite the incredibly difficult conditions of political terror, it is necessary to work to unite ALL anti-fascist forces in the Anti-fascist Front of Ukraine. Only in the struggle can one achieve victory over the brown plague that has currently struck Ukraine, and open the way to PEACE, FREEDOM, as well as to the restoration of friendly relations with the peoples of the former Soviet republics, which will allow us to abandon the bondage into which the Ukrainian people are being drawn by "well-wishers" from the US and the European Union."

Required addition.

The Donetsk and Luhansk republics arose precisely as people's republics - in the speeches of the masses against the Ukrainian authorities. The local militia was led by the leaders of the people. The nationalization of industry was the main economic slogan of the uprising in the Donbass.

From the very beginning of the events, the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks (VKPB) called and demanded from the authorities of the Russian Federation the legal recognition of the LPR and DPR.

In the years since 2014, the situation has changed. Under the direct influence of capitalist Russia, the bourgeoisie gained a foothold in power in the DNR and LNR. Instead of people's leaders, people like D. Pushilin, a former figure in the financial "pyramid" of MMM, were put at the helm of control.

From the "people's" in the DPR and LPR, only the name remained. Therefore, the recognition of the independence of Donetsk and Luhansk from the “Republic of Ukraine” in 2022 is no longer the same as the recognition of their independence by the Russian Federation in 2014-2016. (Alas, that's why it happened now...)

And yet, the separation of the DPR and LPR from the “republic of Ukraine”, where a neo-fascist regime reigns, is certainly a positive development.

The withdrawal of Lugansk and Donetsk from the influence of neo-fascist Kyiv is the right step. But this is only a step in the anti-fascist liberation struggle.

Only the re-establishment of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics will bring true peace and freedom to the peoples of Ukraine, Donbass and Russia.

Proletarians of all countries, unite!
