Koreans in U.S. Denounce S. Korean Authorities' Suppression of People

Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- Koreans in the U.S. including Los Angeles, New York, Washington, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Texas and Seattle on Nov. 20 issued a joint statement in protest against the south Korean authorities' brutal crackdown of the all-out people's action.
The statement expressed serious concern and indignation at the unreasonable ceaseless moves for the revival of "yusin" in south Korea.
The south Korean present regime put a peasant at his advanced age in a critical condition and indiscriminately fired water cannon at the unarmed demonstrators, a clear proof of its backwardness, it noted, and went on:
The stop to the retrogressive revision of labor law, harsh rule under the pretext of security, introduction of "state-compiled" history textbook and the salvage of ferry "Sewol" and the repeal of hostile policy toward the DPRK, etc. demanded by the protesters during their action are just the same as what is called for by the Koreans in the U.S.
The Koreans in the U.S. will fight it out against the regime enforcing policies against the living of the people, democracy and reunification for the revival of "yusin" in solidarity with conscientious forces of the U.S., to say nothing of all Koreans abroad. -0
