It Serves Them Right
In a recent television address Venezuelan
President revealed a plot of 3 of the U.S. embassy staff in his country
and declared they be expelled from the country. He said those embassy
staff in collusion with anti-government forces in Venezuela had engaged
in creating domestic instability.
The step has been taken to defend the country's sovereignty and, therefore, enjoys the support both at home and abroad.
But far from apologizing for their plot,
Washington brings pressure to Venezuela, openly interfering in
Venezuela's domestic affairs.
The U.S. regards Venezuela as a thorn in its flesh. Why?
Maduro was nominated for President by
Chavez in his lifetime. In his election commitments Maduro pledged to be
loyal to his predecessor in all his policies. This earned him support
of his people.
Chavez's political aim was to build socialism in Venezuela.
He also played a certain role in rearranging political structure of Latin America gripped tightly by invisible U.S. claws.
Chavez's death delighted Washington. It
hoped for a new person who could help in U.S. control over that country.
But things went against their wishes. The Venezuelan people voted for
Maduro.
When election returns were made public,
Washington shouted no. It came out with an outrageous demand that
election returns be investigated again, for that would facilitate
political talk and democratic process. It was indeed a wanton
interference in other's domestic affairs, which met with a strong
opposition of the local people.
Despite the uninterrupted U.S. schemes to
subvert the legal government in Venezuela, the people go staunchly the
way of their own choice. No force on earth can check their triumphal
advance.
