DPRK Supports Cause of Palestinians, Arabs

Pyongyang, November 14 (KCNA) -- A DPRK delegate made a speech during the discussion of the agenda item "Report of Ad Hoc Committee for Investigating Israel's Human Rights Abuses against Palestinians and Other Arabs in the Occupied Territories" at the meeting of the 4th Committee of the 68th UN General Assembly on Nov. 8.
He accused Israel of ceaselessly abusing the human rights of the Palestinians and other Arabs despite the fact that the international community is making sustained efforts with deep concern to settle the Mideast issues, citing facts to expose them.
These acts have gone to such pass that they are leading to military attacks to infringe upon the rights and territorial integrity of sovereign countries, he said, and went on:
Israel's infringement upon sovereignty and human rights abuses are becoming more blatant under the U.S. patronage.
It is an urgent issue to settle the Mideast issues including the Palestinian issue as soon as possible.
The Mideast issues should be settled in the interests of the Palestinians and other Arabs as required by international law and relevant UN resolutions.
As demanded by the international community, Israel should withdraw from all occupied Arab territories and pay due compensation for all mental and material damage done to the Arabs including the Palestinians, first of all.
Only then can the Palestinian issue be settled in the interests of the Palestinians who are directly concerned.
Availing itself of this opportunity, the DPRK once again sends support and solidarity to the Palestinians in their just cause of retaking their national rights including the founding of an independent state with East Kuds as its capital and to the Arabs in their struggle to seek a peaceful and fair solution to the Mideast issues. -0
