Disorder, Immorality and Corruption Rampant in U.S.
Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- Cases sparking social furor are occurring in the United States.
Some days ago, a man was arrested while crossing a fence of the White House, with a knapsack containing explosives on his back, kicking off a row.
The president was inside the building at that time, a press report said.
Prior to the case, two unidentified planes flew in the sky above the Camp David on the outskirts of Washington one after another, prompting a U.S. forces plane to make an urgent sortie.
Besides, a vehicle suspected of carrying explosives was detected near the building of the Defense Department to totally cordon off roads leading to it and post envelops containing white powder were reportedly sent to schools in Washington, D.C., etc. These shocking cases are occurring in an unbroken chain, throwing people into greater uneasiness and horror.
A bill on allowing same sex marriage was made into a law in New York State recently, stunning the public. This brought together six states which legalized same sex marriage in the U.S.
All facts go to clearly prove that the U.S. is a corrupt and degenerated society. -0-

WWP -Racist killing sparks rebellion in Britain
Racist killing sparks rebellion in Britain
By Abayomi AzikiweEditor, Pan-African News Wire

In the past year the British government has announced and implemented huge cuts in education and social service programs in the face of growing unemployment and poverty. Now Black and working-class youth are responding with direct action and mass rebellion.
Beginning on Aug. 6 in Tottenham, North London, thousands of youth demonstrated, attacked police cars, buses and businesses in response to the police’s unprovoked killing of Mark Duggan, a 29-year-old Black man and father of four. Duggan was travelling in a vehicle on Aug. 4 when he was pulled over by police and shot dead.
Outrage spread throughout the Tottenham community. Residents demonstrated outside the police station on Aug. 6. It was reported that soon after the protest, several youth hotwired two police vehicles and drove them to the center of the nearby business district, where they were set afire.
Later, according to media reports, hundreds of others began to pelt police, empty stores and eventually burn down numerous establishments in the area. News of the rebellion spread throughout the city and the world.
The next night, other sections of London and its suburbs erupted in similar unrest. In Brixton, Enfield, Chingford Mount-Waltham Forest, Dalston, Edmonton, Islington, Oxford Circus, Ponder’s End and Walthamstow, youth attacked the police and symbols of exploitation. In various areas affected by the rebellions, youth hit the Kingsland Shopping Center in Dalston, Curry’s, William Hill, Nandos, Morley’s Department Store and T-Mobile in Brixton along with Blockbusters, Vision Express, JD Sports and other businesses in Tottenham. (London Telegraph, Aug. 8)
During the following day in Hackney, youth clashed with riot police after taking over a lorry full of building materials that were used as defense against the cops. In Peckham and Lewisham, youth reportedly fought running battles with the police and at least one bus was set on fire.
Police escalated their patrols and aggressive tactics in response to the youth unrest. It was reported by Scotland Yard that more than 200 people had been arrested by Aug. 8.
The police and the media immediately began to portray Mark Duggan as a criminal and a gangster. He was blamed by the authorities for causing his own death by firing first at the cops. (Daily Mail, Aug. 8)
Duggan’s family said he was unarmed and that the killing was totally unjustified. Rather than accepting responsibility for Duggan’s death, police called those involved in the protests and rebellions “criminals” who now face arrest and prosecution.
Despite past rebellions, gov’t fails to address national question
Observers in London have compared these rebellions to those that swept the Black and Asian communities in England from the late 1970s through the mid-1980s. In 1981, rebellions swept Brixton and other sections of Greater London and spread to the rest of England.
In Tottenham in 1985, a rebellion erupted after a Black woman died during a police raid. A white police officer was later stabbed to death during the unrest, which lasted several days and resulted in significant property damage.
Since 1958 in Notting Hill, when white racist mobs invaded Black communities attacking homes and residents, the British government has failed to adequately address the national question. In recent years as the economic crisis of world capitalism has impacted urban areas throughout Europe, rebellions have re-emerged as a form of resistance and protest.
Faced with worsening unemployment and social conditions for the working class, mostly young people in the suburbs of France, where many African and Arab immigrants live, erupted in rebellion in 2005 and 2006 in response to police brutality and institutional racism.
In Britain there have been some cosmetic changes to the labor market since the rebellions of the 1980s, with more Black and Asian people in media and business. However, police brutality and misconduct remain a major source of complaints in the country’s urban areas.
The onslaught of the economic crisis of 2007-2008 has hit Britain hard, prompting the central bank and the government to shore up the financial sector. Meanwhile, the conservative-led government of David Cameron has mandated massive social service cuts. With dissatisfaction spreading among workers and youth, the situation is volatile.
Significance of the rebellions
Such rebellions could occur anywhere in the industrialized capitalist states. Rising unemployment and impoverishment of oppressed and working-class people provide fuel for social unrest. The regime implements its economic decisions without consulting working people and youth.
The growing agitation and unrest within the imperialist West are coupled with the rising tide of struggle, particularly in Africa and the Middle East. The U.S./NATO wars against Afghanistan and Libya have only provided more defeats for world imperialism in its desperate attempt to maintain its dominance over the majority of humanity.
Workers and the oppressed must strengthen the existing mass organizations and trade unions in their fight to end the system of exploitation and oppression. To many it is becoming quite obvious that capitalism and imperialism have nothing to offer working people and the nationally oppressed throughout the world.
People want and need jobs, incomes, health care, pensions, quality education and life without political and state repression. When these movements and organizations come together they can bring about major advances in the fight to end exploitation and oppression and to realize a socialist future for humanity.

DPRK No to reform and opening
Rodong Sinmun Urges Imperialists to Opt for Rolling back Their Hostile Policies towards DPRK
Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- The imperialists should not make vain efforts to lead the DPRK to "reform and opening," wasting time, but opt for rolling back all their hostile policies towards it.
Rodong Sinmun Tuesday urges this in a bylined article.
The DPRK has nothing to reform or open, it says, and goes on:
"Reform" and "opening" much touted by the imperialists and reactionaries are not "a remedy" for the DPRK to weather its economic difficulties or to revitalize its economy.
Their talk about "reform" and "opening" is aimed at checking the onward movement of the DPRK and isolating and stifling it by blockade.
Their escalating moves to force "reform" and "opening" on the DPRK are a wanton infringement on its sovereignty, shameless interference in its internal affairs and a blatant violation of international law on relations among countries.
The imperialists do not want to change their system but work hard to pressurize others to change their systems as dictated by them. This is an arbitrary and high-handed practice intolerable in the international community.
They must not forget the lesson taught by history. They have run the whole gamut of means and methods to stifle socialism in the DPRK ranging from blockade to threat, pressure, subversive activities and sabotage in the past half a century, but all of them ended in failures.
The imperialists' moves for military aggression against the DPRK and their moves to stifle it are bound to meet a disgraceful fiasco in the future, too. -0

A perspective on the London riots from a Juche communist point of view
In Britain social and class contradictions have been increased by the reactionary policies of the so called "Con-Dem" government which is driving down the living standards of the working people and greatly increasing poverty and inequality.
The rioting initially started in Tottenham on the 6th of August, a working class area in north London . Tottenham has an unemployed rate of 10.9. Also it has a high level of racial discrimination . The flash point of people's grievances was the Met police shooting a young black man , Mark Duggan , a father of 4 children . Mark Duggan was shot whilst he was a ;passenger in a mini-cab. Police claimed they were fired upon but it turned out the bullets were from a police gun ! On the evening of the 6th of August local people protested against the police killing of Duggan . According to some reports the police beat a 16 year old girl which sparked off the violence, People attacked police cars , buses and shops .Police in full riot gear and some on horses attacked the crowd .
On Sunday 7th of August riots broke out in Enfield, Walthamstow , Waltham Forest, Brixton , Oxford and the luxury capitalist shopping centre Westfield was attacked by youths, On the 8th August police provoked a riot in Hackney by conducting a stop and search operation. By late evening rioting had spread to Peckham , Lewisham , Woolwich, Clapham and outside of London in Liverpool and Birmingham . A number of buildings were burnt down , police cars and buses attacked.
The government is to convene the COBRA committe for dealing with national emergencies. Tory prime minister Cameron was on holiday but has returned. It is unclear what the government will do but extreme reactionary elements and fascists have called for the army to be brought onto the streets to 'restore order' . So there is the possibility that the Con-Dem government will throw away bourgeois democracy and resort to fascism , rule by direct and open force . So there is the ugly possibility of the army being deployed on the streets. For many years the 6 counties of northern Ireland were occupied by the British Army who repressed the people, on one occasion shooting down and 13 civil rights protesters in Derry City in 1972 .
Some comments need to be made . Firstly , the imperialist UK government called for rioting in Syria and Libya . The UK along with its imperialist US master also hopes for riots in those countries with alternative political systems such as the DPRK , Cuba and Belarus. However rather than provoking riots in other countries the riots have come to the UK !.
30 years the wedding of Charles and Diana were held at great expense at a time of high unemployment and recession ,later that year riots broke out in the inner cities. Now the British ruling class have repeated the scenario with the same results. A sumptuous and extravagant royal wedding was held for Prince William and Kate and now the ruling class are reaping the results of their folly and decadence.
Britain is very decadent and individualist society. Consumerism has been promoted shamelessly and without limit . The problem with this is that there are those who cannot afford to consume because of unemployment and low wages. They vent their anger and frustration by attacking and looting shops , taking the consumer goods they cannot afford to buy.
The situation in the UK and other so called "advanced" capitalist countries is in contrast to the Juche socialist Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The DPRK is one of the most stable countries on earth, in fact probably the most stable country in the world . Young people there do not riot but instead act as the shock brigade in socialist construction and take part with vigour in the defence of the country . The DPRK is based on the socialist ownershup of the means of production so there is no social inequality . In the DPRK there is
no unemployment , there are no spending cuts and taxation was abolished in 1974 .
The DPRK is based on the Juche idea , the philosophical principle of which is that man is the master . Thus because of the socialist ownership of the means of production which is both underpinned and enhanced by the Juche idea , people in the DPRK have a high sense of 'taking ownership' of 'stakeholding' which does not exist in any capitalist country. Under the banner of the Juche idea and the leadership of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il , the DPRK is a harmonious and integral whole . If you visit the Korean Revolution Museum you will see the picture of the great leader President Kim Il Sung with the people around him symbolising the unity, amity and harmony of the DPRK which is impossible in a sick ,decadent capitalist society like the UK.

Rodong Sinmun on Ideological and Theoretical Exploits of Kim Il Sung
Rodong Sinmun on Ideological and Theoretical Exploits of
Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, August 2 (KCNA) -- President
Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says this in a bylined article.
It goes on:
He newly clarified the essence of the world revolution with main emphasis on independence, the life and soul of human being as a social being. This helped clearly explain the fact that the ultimate goal of the world revolution is to fully realize the independence of the popular masses worldwide and roundly expose the absurdity and injustice of sophism of the modern revisionists and their mouthpieces that advocated compromise with imperialism, talking about "priority to the value of the whole mankind" and "community linked by the common destiny."
The President made a scientific formulation for the first time in history that the struggle for making the whole world independent means, in essence, establishing international relations based on independence and democratizing the international community. He, at the same time, lucidly explained that making the whole world independent is a common task facing the world people in our times.
He also clarified that the driving force for the world revolution is the world people advocating independence and they comprise all the anti-imperialist independent forces advocating independence against imperialism and hegemony including the socialist countries, national liberation movement in colonies, the Non-Aligned Movement and the world peace movement.
He explained from a new angle that imperialism and hegemony going against the trend of the present times towards independence are the world people's common targets of struggle and the main targets of the world revolution. The main strategy of the world revolution and principled issues and ways for carrying it out comprehensively indicated by the President made it possible to formulate a scientific strategy and tactics for winning the victory of the world revolution and for it to take the road of fresh great surge. -0
