Gloomy Prospect of Capitalist World in New Year
Pyongyang, January 17 (KCNA) -- Various kinds of crimes have taken place in capitalist countries in an unbroken chain at the outset of the new year as they happened last year, throwing people into great uneasiness and horror.
According to VOA, as many as over 40 arsons had occurred in residential areas centering around Hollywood District in Los Angeles, California State from Dec. 29 last year to Jan. 1 this year.
At a time when huge material losses were caused and horror-stricken atmosphere prevailed in the city due to ceaseless arsons four people were shot to death by an unidentified criminal on the outskirts of San Diego City, on Jan. 1.
Horrible murder cases broke out in other capitalist countries including Japan and Britain before and after the New Year.
The ever-deepening unemployment crisis is adding to the worries and sufferings of the toiling masses in the capitalist countries in the new year, too.
The Boeing company on Jan. 4 announced its plan to fire 2 000 employees under the pretext of worsening business.
On Jan. 9 harbor workers of seven ports of Portugal went on a strike demanding stable jobs.
As a result of serious joblessness, an increasing number of people are forced to live below the poverty line.
According to a survey of the Census Bureau of the U.S., the number of the poverty-stricken people reached 49.1 million across the country till the end of last year.
In Greece the number of such people reached more than 2.2 million.
The same is the case with other capitalist countries.
Over 4.4 million toiling people in Spain and 2.78 million in Germany saw out last year and greeted gloomy New Year, their right to work denied.
As seen above, 2012 is a year without any hope for future for the toiling masses in the capitalist society. -0-
Rodong Sinmum articles on US
Downfall of US Economy in Figures and Facts
Late last year a publication made public 100 figures and facts showing the downfall of the U.S. economy. Saying the U.S. economy is floundering in corruption, misappropriation and debt, the publication pointed out lots of businesses and jobs disappeared in the U.S. Poor people are increasing explosively across the country from the area on the Atlantic to those on the Pacific.
The United States has become a laughing stock of other countries.
◇ Debt on the increase
Now the debt of the United States increased 4 700 times that of 1913 when the U.S. Board of Governors of Federal Reserve System was founded.
Meanwhile, U.S. dollar is devaluated in a planned way by the board.
A commodity that was sold at 29US $ in 1913 is now sold at 457.67 US$.
Since 1976 the United States has got into the red in foreign trade every year, totalling over 750 billion dollars at present.
Debts of American families are 154 % higher than their income.
◇ The richer got richer and the poor poorer
The wealthy classes in the United States, 1% of its population, own more than one third of the national property.
The rate of congressmen millionaires is over 50 times that of ordinary milionaires.
The average pay of chief executives of the top class businesses in 2010 was 343 times that of ordinary Americans. On the contrary, the total property of the poorest Americans was only 2.5% of the national property.
In 2010 the poor increased by 2.6 million, the greatest since 1959 when the statistics began to be taken.
◇ Jobs on the decrease
During 1991-2007 the number of applications for business bankruptcy of Americans, 65-74 in age, increased by 78%.
In December 2006, private business was managed by 16 600 000 men, but now by 14 500 000.
Between December 2000 and December 2010 jobs decreased by 38%, 42% and 48% respectively in Ohio, North Carolina and Michigan.
◇ Children forsaken by society
Over 500 000 children are homeless.
At least 30% of children in 314 counties are on the verge of malnutrition. In Washington, in particular, 32.3% of children are in the state of malnutrition.
In 2010 the rate of poor children increased by 22%.
◇ People's mindset
According to data available, 80% of Americans think that the economy of their country has already declined.
90% recognize the economic situation of their country as deplorable.
The rate was only 11% in January 1999.
Facts prove that the United States, so called an economic giant, is falling downward.

U.S.-Kingdom of Crimes
The United States is stigmatized as a kingdom of all crimes such as gun-related incident, man-killing and trampling of human rights. Now, the U.S. set another world record.
Not long ago, a research center of Essex University of Britain clarified that the U.S. takes the first place in the number of prisoners.
The U.S. has 2 290 000 prisoners, one fourth of the prisoners altogether in 218 countries.
The number of prisoners is also 734 per 100 000 of population, recording another highest figure in its rate.
Deploring voices can be heard within the U.S.
The chief in charge of the U.S. of an international human-rights supervisory organization said, "It is an unenviable record".
The U.S. newspaper New York Times commented it as a disgraceful record.
A professor of the New York University expressed his concern, saying, "The U.S. is becoming an all the more salient military police state."
The U.S. society where extreme individualism is prevailing, immorality and depravity is naturally giving rise to crimes and prisoners.
Even Statue of Liberty Would Lament
The Voice of America has recently reported of the top ten shocking incidents of 2011.
One of them is a crime of a woman who killed her two-year old daughter and concealed it for a month, only making feast.
The brutal temperament of trampling down human life was revealed in a family. It would really make the Statue of Liberty lament.
What makes people surprise more is the judgment of a judiciary organ on that case of murder.
The US judiciary organ passed a decision of "non-guilty" upon her, saying that there was no concrete evidence that the mother committed the murder in person. It means that a murder without evidence is not accused. Such a decision can be given only in the United States, the kingdom of crimes.
The other day a publication said Americans think of marriage and child problems separately, lamenting that they threw into a dustbin long ago their responsibility for bringing up children.
In this view the US judiciary organ's decision is none for suspicion.
The United States is a "dirt society" that should be thrown into the dustbin of history.

was AIDS created by US ?
Paliani Chinguwo
Though mainstream scientific consensus maintains that AIDS originated from Africa in the mid 1930s from a closely related Simian Immunodeficiency Virus that was passed to a human being from a green monkey, there are alternative views on the actual origin of HIV and AIDS. While some proponents of the alternative views assert that AIDS was the inadvertent result of experiments in the development of vaccines, others categorically contend that the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) was actually developed in the laboratory by top-notch scientists who were hired by the US government. Of particular interest, is the fact that the alternative views on the origin of HIV AIDS are supported by renowned experts in the field of medical science.
The green monkey.
Professor Jakob Segal, a former academic at the Humboldt University in Germany, explained that HIV was “engineered” at a US military laboratory at Fort Detrick by splicing together two other viruses called Visna and HTLV-1. According to his theory, the new virus, which was created between 1977 and 1978, was tested on prisoners who had volunteered for the experiment as a condition for early release. He further suggested that it was through these prisoners that the virus was spread to the wider population.
In self-published books entitled AIDS and the Doctors of Death: An Inquiry into the Origin of the AIDS Epidemic and Queer Blood: The Secret AIDS Genocide Plot, a retired dermatologist, Alan Cantwell argues that HIV is actually a genetically modified organism developed by US government scientists, and that it was introduced into the population through Hepatitis B experiments conducted on gay and bisexual men between 1978–1981 in major US cities. Cantwell further claims that ever since, there has been a government (US) cover-up of this actual origin of the AIDS epidemic.
One medical investigator called Dr Leonard G Horowitz, is the author and self-publisher of two thought provoking books entitled Emerging Viruses: AIDS & Ebola. Nature, Accident or Intentional? and Death in the Air: Globalism, Terrorism and Toxic Warfare. It is these two books in which he advances a theory that a virus that causes AIDS was “engineered” by contractors for the US government defence like Litton Bionetics for the purposes of bio-warfare and population control in the Third World countries.
A series of research conducted by Dr Robert B Strecker, a PhD holder in both pathology and pharmacology astonishingly indicate that the US’ National Cancer Institute [which at that time. 1970-1974, was called the US Army Chemical and Biological Warfare Centre], in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO) created the AIDS virus in the laboratories located at Fort Dietrick in the USA. In support of Dr Strecker’s damning indictment, one researcher called William Cooper who once served in the US Navy Intelligence revealed that the creation of AIDS virus was directly supervised by the CIA as a program under a code name “MK-NAOMI”.
Dr Strecker in collaboration with his brother Ted, an attorney, had tried all they could to inform their medical and legal colleagues and others of what they had found out in their joint investigations on the actual origin of HIV and AIDS. Later, his brother Ted compiled some of the most damaging documents into a report called “The Bioalert Attack” and circulated it to all governors of states in the US, as well as the US President and his vice (at the time Bush senior), the FBI, CIA, NSA, and selected members of the Congress among others. A total of three replies were received from only three governors, and neither reply nor acknowledgment of receipt came from any office of the federal government. Subsequently, Dr Strecker and Ted Strecker were laughed at and subjected to all sorts of ridicule.
Tragically, Ted Strecker was found mysteriously shot dead at his home in Missouri on August 11, 1988. It was reported that Dr Strecker had spoken with him the night before his death. Besides, neither a note nor good bye messages to anyone were found at scene. Over a month later, Illinois Representative Douglass Huff of Chicago, the only politician who did everything he could to make the people of Chicago and the State Legislature aware of Dr Strecker’s findings was also mysteriously found dead on September 22, 1988.
Other medical experts who have also conducted research and written in support of the view that the AIDS Virus did not originate from a green monkey in Africa, but was “engineered” in a laboratory in US include: Dr John Seale, a distinguished London based specialist; Profesor Charles Ssali from Uganda; Dr Wolf Geisler; and Dr William Campbell Douglas.
All said and done, about 200 years ago German Philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer said that every truth goes through three stages: Firstly when revealed, it is ridiculed; Then it is violently opposed; And finally it is widely accepted as self evident. Mahatma Gandhi also held a similar view and is quoted to have said; “First they ignore you; Then they laugh at you; Then they fight you; Then you win.”

CPP condoles with DPRK over death of Kim Jong Il
“Kim Jong Il leaves behind a shining tradition of patriotism and anti-imperialism,” said the CPP. “In his 17-year rule, he steadfastly stood for the DPRK’s national independence in the face of US-led imperialist aggression and diplomatic pressure.”
“Like Kim Il Sung, his father, Kim Jong Il was able to inspire the people’s patriotism and steel their determination to resist imperialist aggression and subversion,” said the CPP. “The imperialists led by the US are piqued by the inexorable collective will of the working people of the DPRK to defend their country’s national independence, by its avowals for socialism and its refusal to bow to the neoliberal policies under ‘free-market globalization’,” said the CPP.
“Despite more than six decades of imperialist economic blockade, the DPRK has succeeded not only in building itself as a self-reliant country, but in achieving great progress as well in the fields of science and culture,” pointed out the CPP. “Under Kim Jong Il’s leadership, the DPRK has been able to build alliances with other states that defend national independence and oppose imperialist intervention and subversion.”
“The death of Kim Jong Il is a great loss for the Korean people,” said the CPP. “However, under the leadership of the Korean Worker’s Party, the Korean people will surely continue to march along the path of national independence and continue to build their country as a modern, progressive and democratic system under the banner of socialism
Capitalist Society Is That of Immorality and Depravity
Horrible incidents occurred one after another in the capitalist countries including the United States and Japan in recent months.
In December last year a dead body of a seven-year old girl was found in the garbage ground of an apartment building in Atlantic City of New Jersey State, the U.S. Traces proving that she was sexually assaulted and wounds caused by stab were reportedly found on her head and several other parts of her body.
Earlier in July, an 8-year old girl was also found dead in this country after she was kidnapped.
It was reported in mid December last year that a 25-year old woman in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture of Japan, dragged her 3-year old son with dirty bag on his head, stunning the public.
A frolicsome child free from worries had to be a victim of violence beyond the imagination, even being badly treated by its parent--this is the true picture of corrupt capitalist society.
In capitalist society peace is hard to expect on the New Year due to crimes committed all the year.
At the dawn of the New Year people were seized with anxiety and panic at the gunshot.
In the vicinity of San Diego, California State of the U.S., an unidentified criminal broke into a flat and shot four people to death on the New Year.
A shooting in the UK on Jan. 2 left three people dead.
All the facts clearly show that capitalist society is a veritable hell, a rotten and ailing society

Year of Worsened Social Inequality and Contradictions for Capitalist World
An average of 411 500 people were registered as new unemployed in every week of October last year in the U.S.
The U.S. Labor Department quoted a survey as saying the number of jobless people across the country stood at 13.3 million as of early in November.
Japan had 2.92 million unemployed and EU member countries 23.554 million toiling people jobless as of October last year.
The deepening unemployment crisis brought pain and poverty to the majority of toiling masses.
Early in November last year, the Census Bureau of the U.S. announced that the number of the poverty-stricken people reached 49.1 million. The needy people of them were about 20 million.
More than 12.6 million and 8 million people are spending every day in despair and pain below the poverty line in Germany and Italy.
The horrible crimes committed in the capitalist world last year brought deep-rooted social contradictions and antagonism into bolder relief.
The hideous crime that happened in a city of Belgium on December 13 clearly showed the reality of the capitalist world which saw in and out a year amid social evils.
The waves of demonstrations which swept the capitalist countries were an eruption of the people's anger at the worsening social contradictions as evidenced by the jobless rate growing due to the deepening economic crisis and the widening gap between the rich and poor.
People from all walks of life in the capitalist countries are still on sit-in strikes in tents in plazas and parks in cold, becoming increasingly critical of social inequality festering due to the limitless greed of the capitalists.
As the protest of the popular masses gained momentum, police in different parts of the U.S. rushed to brutally suppress the anti- capitalism demonstrations.
They removed all the tents of the demonstrators, while indiscriminately arresting protestors.
This goes to clearly prove that the "freedom of speech" and "freedom of demonstration and assembly" touted by the capitalist countries are no more than hypocrisy.
Social contradictions and antagonism are the incurable diseases of the capitalist system. Due to this malignant cancer, the capitalist world is plunging deeper into a bottomless abyss of ruin day by day. -0-
