National Reunification Institute Reveals U.S. Criminal Colonial Rule over S. Korea

Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- The National Reunification Institute in a memorandum it released Wednesday in the run-up to the 69th anniversary of the liberation of Korea revealed the crimes the U.S. committed by inflicting unbearable misfortune and pain on the south Korean people through its colonial rule.
Nearly 70 years covered by south Korea after the liberation of Korea were a history of disgrace in which it has been thoroughly dependent on the U.S. in the political, military, cultural, economic and all other fields with its political sovereignty and the right to existence wantonly violated by the U.S.
South Korea is a colony of the U.S. with its political sovereignty violated by the U.S., the memorandum said, and went on:
The U.S. is the ruler over south Korea as it has decided everything in south Korea since the liberation of Korea.
The south Korean regime was installed according to the will of the U.S. and pro-U.S. stooges who were groomed by the U.S. were elected as "presidents" to faithfully serve the U.S. This is the stark reality in south Korea.
The puppet regime is unable to exercise the elementary right to sovereignty as it kowtows to the U.S. The relations between the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces are master-servant relations, those of domination and subjugation.
The right to command the armed forces in south Korea has been exercised by the U.S. under brigandish military treaties imposed by the U.S. on south Korea since the south Korean army was organized as a colonial mercenary army.
After the present conservative regime took power in south Korea, the U.S., by taking advantage of the chief executive's ignorance of the military affairs, pushed the situation in south Korea to the brink of a war and created "insecurity" through various forms of north-targeted war drills in its persistent bid to extend again the transfer of the right to command the wartime operations.
As a result, the present south Korean chief executive, who committed herself "not to extend again the transfer of the right to command the wartime operations" during her "presidential campaign" in 2012, could not but stage the farce of imploring the U.S. to extend the right to command the wartime operations, seized by extreme "security uneasiness". Therefore, it was decided shortly ago to extend the transfer to the period after 2020.
The memorandum noted that the U.S. employed all sorts of mechanisms, means and methods to turn south Korea into its permanent colony and military base in a bid to realize its ideological and cultural domination over south Korea. It continued:
The U.S. is distributing anti-DPRK books, publications and literature that preach the corrupt American way of life, Yankee culture in different parts of south Korea. And it is pressurizing the south Korean authorities to reduce the institutional mechanism for limiting the showing of foreign films and screen more U.S. films, claiming that movies are very effective for disseminating the idea of worship towards the U.S. and the American way of life.
Owing to the U.S. cunning and vicious ideological and cultural domination, the south Korean people's consciousness of independence and national culture and their beautiful manners and customs were stamped out and the idea of flunkeyism and subjugation and corrupt American culture and way of life are prevalent in the south Korean society.
Noting that south Korea is a colony totally dependent on U.S. economy, the memorandum went on:
The south Korean economy has been reduced to an empty one due to the protracted U.S. colonial enslavement policy. It finds itself in such miserable position that it always suffers an acute shortage of raw materials and funds and undergoes marketing difficulties.
South Korea depends on the U.S. and other foreign countries for 87-100 percent of raw materials and fuel needed for industrial production, for 70 percent of spare parts and materials and for 100 percent of core technology and resource technology for the production of goods.
Multinational capitals in the U.S. found their ways into south Korea by various forms and methods such as direct investment, indirect investment, loan, technical cooperation and joint bank and are raking up excessive colonial profits, being granted all sorts of special privileges by the puppet forces.
The puppet forces can never get rid of such miserable plight as colonial stooges and the south Koreans cannot escape disgrace, misfortune and pain as long as the U.S. colonial domination and their sycophancy toward it and treachery persist, the memorandum concluded. -0-

2 Canadians Arrested in China for Spying: What Really Happened

DWUK Spokeswoman Slams Sexual Slavery for GIs in S. Korea

DWUK Spokeswoman Slams Sexual Slavery for GIs in S. Korea

Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) -- A spokeswoman for the Central Committee of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea (DWUK) released a statement Friday denouncing the sexual slavery committed by the U.S. imperialist aggression troops in south Korea.
The Wall Street Journal in its recent article said that sex stations have been installed and operated in villages of U.S. military bases in south Korea at tacit connivance of the puppet government, the statement noted, and continued:
The majority of the women taken to the stations were those driven into dire poverty or those who were abducted by gangsters and sold off. They can not walk out of the villages once they go into them. The south Korean puppet government directly controls the villages and mobilizes police to prevent women from running away. It called the women in the villages "patriots" and told them not to cause any trouble with GIs.
"Comfort women for the U.S. forces" are said to number thousands in south Korea.
The sexual slavery for the U.S. imperialist aggression troops is little short of the hideous sexual slavery enforced by the Japanese imperialists against Korean women in the past. This is an intolerable insult to the Korean women and a wanton encroachment upon the dignity of the Korean nation.
The Central Committee of the DWUK brands the sexual slavery committed by the U.S. imperialist aggression troops against south Korean women as one of the unpardonable, most hideous human rights abuses of modern version.
Since they set their foot in south Korea, GIs did not hesitate to commit all kinds of abnormal and shuddering crimes against women and this was connived at and encouraged by the U.S. and the south Korean puppet authorities.
Nothing has changed in the miserable situation of the south Korean women since the present chief executive took office in Chongwadae but shuddering sexual assaults against women have become all the more undisguised.
There is no such despicable group of traitors like the south Korean puppet forces as they behave so cowardly as to offer fellow women as sexual slaves for the foreign occupation troops and shield their sexual slavery.
As long as the U.S. aggression troops are present in south Korea and the group of pro-U.S. lackeys stay in power, the history of shame will go on and south Korean women can never get rid of the sexual slavery.
The U.S. and the puppet forces should apologize for the sexual slavery for the U.S. forces in south Korea and own full responsibility.
South Korean women and other people of all social standings should actively turn out in the struggle to drive the U.S. aggression troops, the root cause of misfortune and pain of Koreans, out of south Korea and settle accounts with the U.S. imperialists, the sworn enemy of the Koreans. -0-

Rodong Sinmun Discloses Reactionary Nature of American-style "Liberty

Rodong Sinmun Discloses Reactionary Nature of American-style "Liberty

Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) -- The reactionary ruling quarters and the paid media of the U.S. often trumpet about "liberty" in a bid to create impression that the American society guarantees people liberty and democracy. Calling the U.S. a "free world", they talk rubbish that the "wind of liberty" should be sent to other countries.
An article of Rodong Sinmun Friday says such "liberty" touted by them is, needless to say, aimed to embellish the American society and bring down political systems in other countries.
"Liberty" trumpeted about by the U.S. is, in short, "freedom" for the rich.
The reactionary nature of American-style "liberty" is that it is a deceptive means for justifying the capitalists' act of bleeding the toiling masses white and violating their freedom and rights.
Exploitation and plunder of the toiling masses are institutionalized in the capitalist society. This is because the state sovereignty and production means are in the hands of a tiny handful of privileged class.
The reactionary nature of American-style "liberty" can also be found in that it is aimed to secure a pretext for maintaining the fascist and unpopular social system.
The U.S. act is to internationally isolate those countries which incur its displeasure and are disobedient to it and to make a breach for forcing American-style and Western view on value on them.
The toiling masses can never have genuine freedom and rights in the American society where the mode of existence based on jungle law is prevalent. -0-

Let Us Smash War Moves to Invade the DPRK by the US and South Korean War Hawks

Let Us Smash War Moves to Invade the DPRK

by the US and South Korean War Hawks

As was reported, the US and south Korean war hawks are attempting to stage the ill-famed “Ulji Freedom Guardian” joint military drills from mid-August throughout south Korea despite the strong opposition and protest at home and abroad.

Enormous forces and the latest war hardware of the US imperialist troops and the puppet army are to take part in them, in addition to over 480,000 public officials and civilians from the puppet “government” organs and major establishments.

What matters is that the warmongers try this time to officially apply the “tailored deterrence strategy” under the pretext of implementing the new strategic concepts to cope with the north’s “nuclear and missile threats” in real earnest.

The “tailored deterrence strategy” is a very dangerous war scenario to mount a preemptive strike on the north by mobilizing all military means including nukes after classifying the north’s nuclear crisis situation into a threatening phase, an imminent using phase and an actual using phase.

UFG drills are the preceding aggressive war and nuclear test war exercises for a surprise nuclear preemptive attack on the north for all intents and purposes.

That the US and south Korean warmongers stage the drills at any cost is a grave military provocation to the north and a criminal act of wrecking peace and stability of the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia and aggravating the danger of a nuclear war to the extremes.

They assume a more dangerous nature for being staged to time coincided with the extremely deteriorated inter-Korean relations and highly strained situation on the peninsula.

The inter-Korean relations at present are extremely worsened and a hair-trigger tension prevails where a trifling skirmish may lead to an all-out war.

It is quite obvious that if the US and south Korean warmongers persistently opt for the north-targeted war drills, the inter-Korean relations will face a catastrophe beyond control and everything will end up.

The grave situation urgently demands that all the Koreans and the world peace-loving people check the UFG drills through the strong worldwide anti-war peace movement.

In firm solidarity and joint struggle with the world peace-loving people, we will smash without fail the reckless moves of the US and south Korean warmongers to provoke a new war thus reliably safeguarding the peace of the peninsula and the dignity and security of the Korean nation.

Minju Joson Assails Hideous Human Rights Abuses of GIs

Pyongyang, August 5 (KCNA) -- Two American soldiers based in Italy recently raped a pregnant Romanian woman.
Commenting on this, Minju Joson Tuesday says this clearly proves that the U.S. soldiers are a group of beasts in human skin.
American soldiers, obsessed by extreme misanthropy and immorality and depravity, feel the biggest pleasure in killing the weak and teasing them as they please, the commentary notes, and goes on:
This is the main reason why human rights abuses shocking people are perpetrated wherever American soldiers go.
What matters is that such hideous human rights abuses of the American soldiers are being committed at the tacit connivance of the U.S. military authorities and under their patronage.
As far as south Korea is concerned, it is the U.S. military authorities who have the right to handle GI criminals under the SOFA. That is why GIs based overseas exercise extraterritorial rights, unhesitatingly revealing their barbarous nature.
The U.S. forces are a group of the world's worst criminals and beasts.
It will not be possible to put an end to the misfortune and pain of the people in the region nor is it possible to ensure regional peace and security as long as such a group of criminals are allowed to go scot-free.
All countries and nations should have the U.S. forces go back to their den. -0-
