Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- The Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army Tuesday released the following communique: |
Sunday, 21 November 2010
THE AUCPB - FOR SOCIALIST REVOLUTION AND THE DICTATORSHIP OF THE PROLETARIAT..-Zionism and Capitalism
The influence of major Jewish capital in the economies of the capitalist countries is maintained not just BY ITS FIRM POSITIONS, BUT IN INDIVIDUAL STATES AND BY ITS LEADING POSITIONS IN THE SPHERE OF CREDIT-FINANCE AND TRADE, WHICH REMAIN TO THIS DAY, THE PRINCIPAL AND TRADITIONAL BUSINESS OF THE JEWISH BOURGEOISIE. Over the past decade, the financial sphere of influence of the bourgeoisie of Jewish descent has gone far beyond these areas and has spread to many sectors of material production - mining, oil and chemical industries, transportation, publishing, advertising and the newspaper business, enterprise culture and the media outlets. In recent years, Jewish finance capital in corporations, firms and companies in the military-industrial complex has played a more prominent role.
“….THEIR WEALTH, ORGANIZATION AND LEADING POSITION PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR UNLIMITED INFLUENCE IN DETERMINING U.S. POLICY." (V.I. Kiselev. Zionism in the imperialist system / / International Zionism: history and politics. M., 1977., P. 7-8,10).
"It is no exaggeration to say that the BRANCHING AROUND THE WHOLE WORLD and at the same time a strictly centralized system of organizations of International Zionism combined with a POWERFUL FINANCIAL-ECONOMIC BASIS in the face of a monopoly bourgeoisie of Jewish descent with a large, often DOMINANT INFLUENCE OVER THE MEDIA, CULTURE AND STATE PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION APPARATUS of leading capitalist states, IS THE MAIN SOURCE OF STRENGTH AND EFFECTIVENESS OF ZIONIST INFLUENCE OVER POLICY of a number of leading capitalist states. To date, INTERNATIONAL ZIONISM by degree of the branching out of their organizations, their range of activities and international relations, the depth of penetration into the sphere of Jewish communities, as well as in different spheres of political, economic and social life in capitalist countries has no equal ... AMONG OTHER ORDERS OF WORLD REACTION " (ibid., p. 15).
"..." A Zionist organization... has the possibility and ability to achieve what is OUTSIDE THE AUTHORITY AND JURISDICTION OF THE STATE, and in this lies the SUPREMACY OF A ZIONIST ORGANIZATION OVER THE STATE ... The state and the Zionist movement complement each other, need each other"... ZIONISTS HAVE DIRECTED THEIR STRENGTHS... ON A GLOBAL SCALE – TOWARDS THE CREATION OF A QUASI-INTERNATIONAL RIGHTS EDUCATION TO ENJOY THE RIGHTS OF SUPRANATIONAL (ABOVE-STATE) ORGANIZATIONS ... "(ibid., p. 73, 75).
"It becomes even more evident the unseemly role of those who encourage Israeli extremists - THE ROLE OF U.S. IMPERIALISM AND INTERNATIONAL ZIONISM AS AN INSTRUMENT OF THE AGGRESSIVE IMPERIALIST CIRCLES ... In many parts of the world, including Israel, the Zionist organizations and the Israeli government have become THE MAIN TOOLS OF POLITICAL AND IDEOLOGICAL STRUGGLE OF IMPERIALISM AGAINST SOCIALISM AND COMMUNISM, AGAINST THE SOCIALIST COUNTRIES AND ESPECIALLY AGAINST THE SOVIET UNION "(ibid.).
THE ROLE OF WORLD ZIONISM IS IN THE DESTRUCTION OF THE SOVIET UNION AND THE SOCIALIST CAMP.
“…. UP TO 80% OF AMERICAN AND INTERNATIONAL WESTERN MEDIA OUTLETS ARE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF INTERNATIONAL ZIONIST CENTRES. In many countries, the bourgeois Zionist organizations have placed their own "cadres" and "sympathetic" into the central elements of the press, editorial radio, in television, film, science, art and literature. USING THESE POWERFUL LEVERS, THE ZIONISTS INFLUENCE PUBLIC OPINION, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY PREACHING THEIR IDEAS, REMAIN SILENT OR DISTORT EVERYTHING THAT IS EVEN THE SLIGHTEST DEGREE AGAINST THEIR IDEOLOGY" (Ideology and practice of international Zionism., 1978, p. 97, 98).
"A SIGNIFICANT role for ZIONISM lies in the strategy of imperialism to create within the individual socialist countries - through the Zionist-minded elements, with the help of all sorts of revisionist and nationalistic concepts - ENCLAVES OF OPPOSITION to the people's system with the aim of eliminating it through a "SILENT COUNTER-REVOLUTION"... Unfolding the FRONT OF IDEOLOGICAL SABOTAGE with the aim of undermining the socialist society, BREAKING IT UP FROM WITHIN, Zionist organizations attracted ZIONIST intellectuals FOR THIS, COVERED BY A MASK OF "LIBERALS" AND "FIGHTERS FOR DEMOCRACY AND HUMAN RIGHTS" (ibid., p. 105).
"To strengthen political subversion against the socialist countries, international Zionism brought their own strong points closer to their borders. Such SUBVERSIVE CENTRES AND ORGANIZATIONS OF ZIONISM, with close ties to the intelligence services of the imperialist states, settled in West Berlin, Brussels, Paris, London and Vienna. All of them, coordinating with each other activities against the socialist countries, COLLECT AND HANDLE MATERIAL ... , ENGAGE IN IDEOLOGICAL AND POLITICAL SABOTAGE, etc ... According to the London Sunday Telegraph, "TEL AVIV HAS BECOME KNOWN IN WORLD INTELLIGENCE AS A KIND OF INTERNATIONAL MARKETPLACE FOR INTELLIGENCE DATA", supplied by the Zionists who infiltrated the socialist countries" (ibid., p. 106).
"Evidence suggests that a typical example of the unity of racism and chauvinism is specifically Zionism, which CURRENTLY IS ASSIGNED THE ROLE OF THE GUNS OF WORLD REACTION ... Many people increasingly find clear the TRUE scale of the danger posed by the IDEOLOGY AND ACTIONS OF INTERNATIONAL ZIONISM FOR ALL PEACE-LOVING, DEMOCRATIC FORCES OF THE PLANET AND ITS FUTURE ... Its SPECIAL DANGER lies in the variety of forms and methods of struggle, and the ability to change them depending on the situation, in the POSSIBILITY OF CONCENTRATING ENORMOUS FORCES AND MEANS TO FIGHT AGAINST SOCIALISM" (ibid., p. 265).

US Termed Wanton Disturber of World Peace
US Termed Wanton Disturber of World Peace |

Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- Ever since the emergence of the present administration the United States has drastically increased military spending, sparked off a new arms race, built military bases in different parts of the world, demonstrated its huge armed forces and staged military exercises there, creating the danger of war, observes Rodong Sinmun Thursday in a signed article. The U.S. imperialists are becoming evermore undisguised in their war hysteria due to their ever-deepening political and economic crises, the article notes, and goes on: The U.S. ruling quarters seek a way of saving their country from a tight corner and helping monopoly capital meet its avaricious demand in stepping up their moves for aggression and war. At present the U.S. imperialists consider the Korean Peninsula as a main test ground for carrying out their strategy for world domination by force. They are standing in the way of Korea's reunification, escalating the confrontation and tension between the north and the south and pushing the situation on the peninsula to the brink of war in a bid to retain a permanent grip on south Korea as a military and strategic vantage point and realize their scenario for aggression. What merits an extremely serious attention in the war moves of the U.S. imperialists is that they are making preparations for a nuclear war. This was clearly evidenced by the subcritical nuclear test conducted by them in a test ground in Nevada State in last September. All this goes to prove that the U.S. imperialists are heading for a more dangerous military adventure in an effort to realize their scenario for world domination. They are the chieftain of aggression and war and a wanton disturber of the world peace, concludes the article. |

Obama slanders on the DPRK
I see imperialist chieftain trendy Obama(note his intials BO) has slandered the great DPRK whilst in Seoul for the rubbishy farce of the G20.Obama says the same about the DPRK as Bush and even US presidents of the 1950s.This proves the US imperialist system does not change one iota
The DPRK that is the real power on the Korean peninsula not the south Korean puppet regime that is more and more dependent on the US and Japan all the time. The DPRK is the dignified independent socialist power of Songun that Obama should not dare to insult. The DPRK socialist system centred on the masses provides the people with an independent and creative life with free health care, education, jobs and houses. It is the south Korean people that live in misery and poverty many of them homeless or living in slums.
One day the US imperialists will pay dearly for slandering the DPRK and its Juche socialist system

SOCIALISM IS THE LIFE OF OUR PEOPLE
KIM JONG IL
SOCIALISM IS THE LIFE OF OUR PEOPLE
Talk with the Senior Officials of the Central Committee
of the Workers' Party of Korea
November 14, 1992
Over the recent years the imperialists and reactionaries have been resorting to every scheme possible to stifle our country, which is advancing invariably holding the banner of socialism under the leadership of the Party and the leader. The more desperate the enemy is in his attempt, the higher we must hold the banner, crushing the enemy’s counterrevolutionary offensive by means of revolutionary offensive.
Although the imperialists and reactionaries are making desperate attempts to obliterate socialism on the earth, socialism is cherished as deep as ever in the hearts of the revolutionary people all over the world and is advancing on its track. Socialism is the ideal of humanity and that socialism achieves victory is a law of the development of history. No matter how desperately they attempt to stamp out socialism, the imperialists and reactionaries cannot reverse the tide of history. Today the revolutionary people of the world, under the banner of the Pyongyang Declaration, are fighting resolutely to defend and advance the cause of socialism. The struggle for socialism is being waged not only in those countries where socialism has collapsed but in the capitalist countries. It is doubtless that the manoeuvring of the imperialists and reactionaries will be frustrated and socialism will make an uninterrupted advance and emerge victorious in the long run by the struggle of the revolutionary parties and people of the world.
With an unshakable faith in the victory of socialism, we must approach the present situation on an optimistic point of view and staunchly defend the cause of socialism.
Socialism is the life of our people. Whether our people remain alive or die, i.e., whether they lead an independent and creative life as masters of the state and society or become the slave of others, getting maltreatment and contempt, depends on whether they defend socialism or not. As the song goes, socialism defended means victory and socialism abandoned means death. Whatever the difficulties and trials, we must never abandon the socialism we chose and are building by our efforts.
In order to defend and advance the cause of socialism, we must apply the Juche idea in all fields of revolution and construction in a thoroughgoing way.
The Juche idea is the ideological foundation of socialism and the only guiding ideology of revolution and construction. Our style of socialism centred on the masses is based on the Juche idea and embodies this idea; it is Juche-orientated socialism. Socialism devoid of ideological foundation and perfect guiding ideology cannot be called genuine socialism and it might be frustrated, unable to check the anti-socialist schemes of the imperialists and reactionaries. This is shown graphically by the lesson of those countries where socialism was frustrated and capitalism has been restored. Our socialism is advancing victoriously unperturbed amidst the continuing vicious moves of the imperialists and reactionaries just because it is based on the Juche idea and guided by this idea. While socialism is the life of our people, the Juche idea is the life of our socialism.
We must staunchly defend the Juche idea from the infiltration of the bourgeois reactionary ideological trend of all hues, steadily develop it and apply it in a thoroughgoing way in all fields of revolution and construction.
The course of building socialism is the course of applying the Juche idea and socialist and communist societies are those modelled on that idea.
The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung authored the idea in his early years and has applied it in all fields of revolution and construction with all consistency. He leads revolution and construction and lives his life in our own way. The anecdote concerning the colour of suiting illustrates graphically how firm his Juche-orientated stand is. Once our officials suggested to him that he have his suit made of the material of a certain colour, saying that suits made of such material were now in fashion. He told them fashion should follow him, not the other way round.
We must cherish the Juche idea as our faith and apply it in all sectors of revolution and construction thoroughly so as to add further lustre to our style of socialism centred on the masses, the Juche-orientated socialism.
In order to defend socialism and exalt its brilliance, we must further consolidate the single-hearted unity of the leader, the Party and the masses.
The leader, the Party and the masses form a body in which they share their destiny. Their firm unity based on ideology, will, morality and obligation is a guarantee for the invincibility of the cause of socialism. We must rally all people around the Party and the leader more firmly, thus incessantly consolidating the might of the single-hearted unity.
In defending socialism in the present times it is of great importance to check the abuses of every description the imperialists and bourgeois restorationists are levelling against socialism and bring the righteousness and advantages of the socialist cause home to Party members and other working people.
The imperialists and those who have restored bourgeois society are abusing socialism, calling it "totalitarian", "barracks-like" and "administrative-commanding". This is illogical, reactionary sophistry devoid of theoretical foundation. What are the bourgeois restorationists themselves doing now, those who are abusing socialism? They have disbanded communist parties and force everything on the lower echelons by invoking presidential decrees.
They are slinging mud at socialism and if we fail to lay bare the reactionary nature of their "theory", some people not prepared ideologically might become sceptical of socialism. We must disclose the reactionary nature of their "theory" and equip Party members and other working people with the socialist ideology.
I am going to write and make public in the near future a treatise criticizing their abuses of socialism. The sector of theoretical information, too, must produce many articles that lay bare the reactionary nature of the theory of the imperialists and bourgeois restorationists against socialism and explain the truthfulness and advantages of the socialist ideology and theory. Our Party expounded all theoretical problems arising in the practice of the socialist revolution and socialist construction including the problem of the three revolutions--ideological, technological and cultural--the problem of achieving oneness of mind of the leader, the Party and the masses; also the problem of properly combining centralism and democracy and strengthening the people's democratic dictatorship. When we reveal the reactionary nature of the abuses of socialism hurled by the imperialists and bourgeois restorationists as we stand on the ideas and theories our Party put forward for the socialist revolution and socialist construction, we will be able to greatly encourage the people who are making an effort to check the imperialists' and reactionaries' machinations and defend socialism.
We must also write articles on the limitations of the theories authored by the earlier writers of classics so as to give our Party members and other working people a correct understanding of the originality and superiority of the socialist ideology and theory of our Party.
Marxism-Leninism is a revolutionary ideology created reflecting the requirements of the revolutionary practice of the working class in the days of pre-monopoly capitalism and imperialism. History has advanced far and the times have changed since then. We are now in a new era of independence, when the popular masses, as the masters of history and their own destiny, carve out history and their destiny independently and creatively. The authors of Marxism had no experience of building socialism, and it is the same with Lenin. Owing to the limitations of the conditions of their times and their practical experiences the socialist theories put forward by the authors of Marxism-Leninism could not go, in some cases, beyond the limit of prediction and supposition.
For all their limitations, we must not take a nihilistic approach to Marxism-Leninism or cavil at their authors. We must recognize the exploits Marx, Engels and Lenin performed for mankind and respect them. Thanks to the creation of Marxism-Leninism, the socialist theory developed from fantasy to science; the working class was able to have a guiding ideology for the first time in history and they could struggle vigorously against capital and for class emancipation, national liberation and socialism. Respecting the authors of the theories is an obligation on us in view of the principle of the juniors of the revolution respecting their seniors.
When writing articles about the limitations of Marxism-Leninism we must not fail to explain the exploits their creators accomplished. Only then can we give a correct understanding of Marxism-Leninism to the people and deal a blow to the imperialists and bourgeois restorationists who are caviling at this ideology.
In order to correctly write about the limitations of the theories expounded by Marxism-Leninism, one must have a good knowledge of the originality and superiority of the revolutionary ideology of our Party, the Juche idea. The Juche idea is an original idea and perfect revolutionary theory of communism the great leader created reflecting the requirements of the new era of history, the era of independence. If we clarify the originality and superiority of the Juche idea effectively, then the limitations of the theories of Marxism-Leninism will be revealed on its own accord.
The officials in the field of theoretical information should study the Juche idea hard and learn in depth its originality and superiority. They should also study classical works like The Capital to become well-informed of Marxism-Leninism.
Songs of high ideological and artistic qualities should be created in a large number. Such songs instil faith in the cause of socialism and strong will in the hearts of the people encouraging them to greater efforts. Don't Advance, Night of Pyongyang is one of these songs. This song will encourage the soldiers of the Korean People's Army and our people even in days of war. I still feel strength welling up whenever I listen to the song. A man must know how to appreciate the songs. There cannot be life divorced from song. In the days of war not only songs but also broadcasting encourage the soldiers and people. During the Second World War Yuri Levitan, an announcer of the Soviet Union, broadcast the reports of the Supreme Headquarters, rousing the Soviet soldiers and people to victory in the war. He became famous for his broadcasting. Furious, Hitler ordered that Levitan should be the first to be killed after the occupation of Moscow. Our announcers, too, do their job efficiently. They will do their share as they should in time of war.
These days the sector of the art of music has produced many songs of high ideological and artistic qualities. Don't Advance, Night of Pyongyang is an excellent song for its high ideological and artistic qualities. So is If Our Mother Party Wishes. The text of the latter song is written well.
In future the musical art sector must create many songs which become a national treasure with high ideological and artistic qualities. Songs of this kind are not something special. They are those the leader and the people enjoy singing. Except for the Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble, the artistic organizations now fail to produce such songs in a great number. These organizations must produce many songs of national treasure with material based on life. In order to create these songs, one must make it a habit to produce them to be pleasant with the materials derived from life. One cannot produce excellent songs if one proceeds from a subjective desire to create songs of national treasure. If songs describe life and people enjoy singing them, they become national treasures. To achieve this, creative workers must absorb themselves in the lives of people and get themselves fully acquainted with the people's aspiration and demands.
Songs must be portrayed well. If a song is not portrayed well, it cannot prove its worth no matter how excellent it is.

Dear Colleagues,
The fifth G20 Summit will be held in Seoul on November 11th to 12th. This meeting has grave consequences for the people of Korea and the entire world. The G20 has appointed itself the principal body responsible for finding a solution to the global economic crisis and managing the world economy. Yet it excludes the majority of poor and developing nations from decision-making. It also seeks to make common people shoulder the burden of the crisis and to promote neoliberal policies, which have already created vast poverty and increased inequality. In addition, the South Korean government is using the upcoming summit as an excuse to severely restrict democratic rights and carry out a crackdown on migrants, street vendors and homeless people.
Recognizing the huge impacts posed by the G20 on the rights of people in Korea and around the world, labor unions, social movement organizations and progressive NGOs in South Korea formed a People’s G20 Response Preparation Committee (hereafter People’s Preparation Committee) on June 18th in order to respond to the G20 Seoul Summit. The People’s Preparation Committee will take full responsibility for organising various activities and actions protesting the G20 summit as the representative of South Korean people’s, social and civil movements.
We would like to share with you developments in our preparation for the G20 Summit.
Four Main Action Principles of People’s Preparation Committee
The People’s Preparation Committee agreed to the following four main principles:
1) We are committed to organising various activities and actions to denounce the G20 Summit for making people and developing countries pay for the crisis and criticise the structural problems of neo-liberal financial globalization.
2) We are committed to organise various activities to denounce the South Korean government for using the G20 Summit as an excuse to repress democracy and human rights and ignoring internationally-recognised labour and human rights standards.
3) We are to maintain political, organisational and financial independence from the South Korean government and capital, so that we can truly represent the alternative voices of labour, people’s and civil society movements about/against the G20.
4) We will contribute to strengthening solidarity with local and international labour, social and civil society movements to build a labour-and-environment-friendly alternative economy, and to introduce capital controls and contribute to strengthening the capacity of international movements against neo-liberal globlaisation.
Points of Action (provisional)
Agenda 1. Financial regulation and taxation on speculative capital
Agenda 2. Decent work
Agenda 3. Basic Labour rights
Agenda 4. Environment and climate change
Agenda 5. Alternative trade agreement to FTAs and TNCs
Agenda 6. Food security and agriculture
Agenda 7. Democracy and human rights
Agenda 8. Poverty and development
Agenda.9. Forced migration
Agenda 10. Peace and security
Agenda 11. Gender and G20
Agenda 12. Cultural diversity and IPRs
Agenda 13. Public services
Main Role of People’s Preparation Committee
People’s Preparation Committee will take full responsibility to organise the following activities and actions.
1) We are committed to organising a People’s Week of Collective Action from November 6th to 12th including:
* A rally and march on November 11th.
* A People’s Summit
* Opening and closing ceremonies for the People’s Joint Action Week
2) We will organise all possible activities and actions concerning current, future and emerging issues related to the G20 Summit based on general consensus among participating organizations, including:
* Protesting the crackdown against migrant workers, homeless people and street vendors in the name of a successful G20 Summit.
* Responding to the G20 Finance (Vice) Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meetings
* Protesting the government’s repression of democracy and universal human rights under the excuse of successful G20 Summit.
3) We are encouraging and supporting thematic activities based on the proposed points of action so as to expand and strengthen our response to the G20.
4) We are committed to making every effort to encourage social forces to join the people’s G20 actions and strengthen their participation, as well as to create and build people’s alternative positions on the global economic crisis.
5) We are committed to organising various publicity and public consciousness-raising activities to expose the fundamental problems of G20 summit.
People’s Summit(provisional title), Seoul
South Korean people’s, social and civil society organisations are calling upon international social movements to jointly organise a People’s Summit protesting the G20 Summit. The Peoples’ Summit will be organised as part of the People’s Week of Collective Action programmes, and it will be based on equal participation of all people to develop people’s alternative solutions for responding to the global economic and social crisis.
Korean people’s, social and civil society organisations will host the Peoples’ Summit (provisional title) in solidarity with international social and civil movements to develop peoples’ alternatives. The main goal is to develop a solution to the current crisis and to shield poor people who are suffering from the impact of the crisis.
The format of the People’s Summit will be a forum consisting of several creative workshops held directly before the G20 Summit. During the People’s Summit people from G20 and non-G20 countries will assess the impact of current economic and social policies promoted by the G20, and demand alternative global economic reform and the social change necessary to create a better world.

CALL FOR ACTION - The G20 Summit is NO EXCUSE for Repression!KCTU
The G20 Summit is NO EXCUSE for Repression!
October 1st, International Day of Action against the pre-Summit attack on Democratic and Human Rights in South Korea
Dear Friends and Allies,
You have already received an email urging you to join protests against the G20 Summit, which will be held in Seoul, South Korea from November 11 to 12. As you know, the G20, originally formed to respond to the global financial crisis, is attempting to set itself up as the authority responsible for directing the world economy and defining world governance. While completely excluding most nations from decision-making, the G20 is attempting to make the world ‘safe’ for neoliberal capitalism by forcing emerging economies to shoulder part of the burden of the crisis, promoting trade and investment liberalization dressed up 'in new robes', negotiating weak financial reforms that largely allow financial speculation to go on unchecked, and reviving the ailing IMF and other IFIs. This agenda is being pursued despite the fact that neoliberal capitalism is clearly a failed model, which only increases poverty and inequality around the globe.
As if this was not enough, the Lee Myeong-bak administration is using the upcoming Summit as an excuse to strengthen repression of common people and social movements in South Korea. To fight this attack we need your support, even before November.
On October 1st tell the South Korean government and the world that the G20 Summit is NO EXCUSE for Repression by participating in the International Day of Action against the pre-Summit attack on Democratic and Human Rights in South Korea.
Background
The government is carrying out its attack on democratic and human rights on many fronts.
Claiming they are “establishing public order to support the successful opening of the G20 Summit,” the Immigration Service and other government agencies have been conducting a massive crackdown on undocumented migrants, during which migrants are brutally arrested, imprisoned and then deported. Proclaiming to be “preemptively responding to foreigner crime,” the Seoul Metropolitan Police Department has been carrying out blatantly illegal and racist stop and search procedures, questioning anyone they think looks ‘suspicious’, which generally means anyone who looks foreign and dark-skinned.
The government has also formed a “special road maintenance crew” to “clean up the streets” before the G20 by cracking down on street vendors. The police have been patrolling areas where homeless people usually spend time, such as subway stations and neighborhoods where service organizations and temporary boarding houses are located. These measures are brutally destroying the livelihoods and wiping out the resting places of South Korea’s poor.
At the same time, the government has been carrying out a devastating attack against South Korean workers and labour unions, even going so far as to ignore commitments made at previous G20 meetings. At the 3rd G20 Summit held in Pittsburgh in September 2009, national leaders agreed that, "the current challenges [posed by the crisis] do not provide an excuse to disregard or weaken internationally recognized labour standards.” Despite this fact, the government has repeatedly defied ILO Committee of Freedom Association recommendations by repressing unionization by teachers and public employees, applying the Article 314(Obstruction of Business) of Penal Code to prosecute union officers, and attempting to control union activities through implementation of the ‘time-off’ system, which drastically limits the number of union staff that can paid on company salaries. The government is also violating the G20’s stated principle of putting the creation of ‘decent jobs’ at the center of economic recovery by pursuing labour flexiblisation policies including the weaken of restrictions on mass lay-offs and expansion of the industries in which agency workers can be legally employed.
To top all of this off, in May the ruling conservative Grand National Party forced the passage of a “Special Law on the Safe Escort of the G20 Summit,” which legalizes tools for the repression of the rights to freedom of expression and assembly. This law, which goes into effect on October 1, allows the government to mobilize the army “if necessary” to maintain public order. It also established ‘Safe Escort Zones’ around the G20 meeting site, the hotels where representatives will stay, the routes they will travel to the Summit, and other G20 related areas. Public officials are authorized to stop people from entering these zones and to carry out indiscriminate stop and search procedures within them. What is more, they are not required to publically announce which areas during what times are designated ‘Safe Escort Zones’. This law is clearly meant to squash all forms of criticism and protest against the G20.
On October 1st tell the South Korean government that the G20 is NO Excuse for Repression!
If we do not resist these measures, repression in South Korea will only grow stronger. This will have a devastating effect on the lives of common people and the people’s movement’s ability to fight for more equitable alternatives to the G20’s neoliberal agenda. We need your support and solidarity now more than ever.
This is way we have proclaimed October 1st, the very day the “Special Law on the Safe Escort of the G20 Summit” goes into effect, an International Day of Action against the pre-Summit attack on Democratic and Human Rights in South Korea.
We are asking allies around the world to organize solidarity actions on this day and deliver the following demands to the South Korean government.
The G20 Summit is NO excuse! Stop the crackdown on migrants, street vendors and homeless people!
Honour international labour standards and ILO recommendations! Stop labour repression and labour flexibilisation policies!
Repeal the “Special Law on the Safe Escort of the G20 Summit” and end repression of the rights to freedom of expression and assembly!
Solidarity actions may take the following forms:
Rallies or other actions in front of South Korean consulates and embassies
Meetings with consulate and embassy representatives to deliver protest statements
Press conferences
Rallies or other actions in public areas
Any creative action you wish to organize
Attached is a sample protest statement, which can be used in meetings with embassy and consulate representatives and/or as the basis for press statements.
Please let us know about actions you have planned and send reports of completed actions.

On August 3rd, the Korea Times reported that the National Police Agency will be mobilizing more than 400,000 police around the G-20 Summit in Seoul, November 11th 12th, 2010. Multinational CEO's and leaders of the worlds twenty richest nations will meet during the G-20 on three islands, which have a price-tag of around 83 million(USD) to build...That's right, build. According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government, a total of three manmade “floating islands” are being built on the Han River between the Banpo and Dongjak bridges, and will be secured by anchors.
While thousands of demonstrators have taken to the streets during past G-20 Summits in North America and Europe, South Korean workers and activists have a long history of being even more militant in their struggle against the destructive policies of globalization than their counterparts in the Northwest hemisphere. In December of 1996, the South Korean parliament passed a new labor law which began a "structural adjustment" austerity program on behalf of the IMF and World Bank. These programs require countries to make debt repayment a priority, and as a consequence forces them to cut essential social services such as health, education, and development, thus lowering their standard of living. These programs also open the door to the privatization of natural resources, such as ancient forests and public water supplies, to be exploited by multinational corporations.
In the days that followed, 12 million South Korean workers went on strike to counter the new undemocratic labor law. In the years that followed, South Korean's continued to protest against the destructive policies of neoliberalism, most notably the WTO in 2003, World Economic Forum in 2004, APEC in 2005, and numerous other occasions. As the G20 approaches, the Korea Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) has announced it is planning to hold a rally and march on November 11th, the first day of the Summit. According to their website, “...the KCTU will do everything in our power to stage a massive anti-neoliberalism struggle that will gain attention of people and workers around the globe. To this end, we will prepare to hold People’s Action and be a leader of a great transformation.”
South Korean workers have often utilized the direct action tactics of resistance, such as strikes and factory takeovers, to large street demonstrations. It is not uncommon that the workers are also armed with slingshots, molotov cocktails, and sticks. Often times, in an act of more desperate resistance, workers commit suicide outside of their factories, sometimes through self-immolation. South Korean police on the other hand, much like their counterparts around the globe, have also demonstrated their willingness to continually brutalize their own citizens to quell public dissent of these policies. It is a well documented and common tactic for South Korean police to scrape the bottom of their metal shields on the concrete in order to sharpen the edges into a blade before they thrust their shields into the throats of protesters. Over the years, this brutal police tactic has led to the horrific deaths of many South Korean workers.
All this comes at a time when the fallout from past G-20's are still fresh in the air. During the 2009 G-20 Summit in London, Ian Tomlinson was beaten to death by police. On July 21st, 2010, his wife and nine children learned that the London police would not investigate his death, despite video and photographic evidence. None of the officers went to the aid of Tomlinson, who stumbled 100 yards down the road before collapsing and dying in front of thousands of demonstrators. In Canada, the police have begun an old-fashion witch hunt for the people they suspect are responsible for the property damage that occurred during the G-20 in Toronto. Up to 17 people are being charged with conspiracy and at least 4 individuals still remain in jail. In the wake of the Pittsburgh Summit, many cases still remain in court regarding criminal charges against activists, as well as the excessive use of force by police.
Whenever, and wherever, these large summits take place they are always preempted by a heavy campaign of psychological operations (PSYOPS) to prepare the population for the inevitable urban warfare and heavy handed police tactics that ensue. Authorities, for months ahead of time, tell local residents propaganda, such as “the rioters will threaten your lives” and “burn your city like Seattle in 1999” and that the “police are here to protect YOU, from THEM.” However, our collective experiences globally show us who the real violent faction is...In the past, we've seen all too often the police instigate violence, only to have the embedded corporate media twist the facts in their reporting later on. Given who they are protecting, and who pays their salary, it should be no surprise that the goal of both the police and corporate media is to delegitimize demonstrators and create pretexts to silence them. It is commonplace now that peaceful citizens are rounded up like sheep in “mass arrests” in order to create and/or expand their intelligence database of dissidents. The people who choose to resist and/or practice self-defenses are often labeled “terrorists” and face a multitude of oppressive weapons such as live-round and less-lethal ammunition, chemical weapons, and even newer oppressive directed energy technologies such as the LRAD sound cannon. Not only are the policies of neoliberalism destructive to human lives, the environment, and future of humanity in general, it could not be made possible without the collaborating authorities that protect these elite criminals through violence and deception.
As we've seen in other locations where these summits were held, South Korean police have already began their crackdown on immigrants, homeless, unions, students, and activists. Authorities there have launched large-scale deportations and raids against migrant workers and street vendors are slowly being moved out to prepare the battlefield. According to the Korean Times, “During a recent rally in front of Myeongdong Cathedral in downtown Seoul, Michel from the Philippines, the chief of the Migrants’ Trade Union, condemned the ongoing crackdown, saying, '“The Korean government is using the G-20 Summit as an excuse to trouble minorities. We want the government to end their oppressive behavior. End the crackdown!”'
Amidst the growing state repression in the lead up to the G-20 in Seoul, the South Korean National Police Agency (NPA) has created a special police unit as part of its effort to enhance security around the summit. Police operations headquarters will be set up in Seoul September 1st and will bring in elite mobile field force units of "riot troops" from across the nation. All officers will continue to be on high alert until November when hundreds of finance/business CEO's and world leaders gather in Seoul, in an attempt to fix the crisis their policies created. This will undoubtedly become a milestone for the G-20 and within the anti-globalization movement, as South Korea becomes the first country in the Asian region, and from the "emerging world", to host a G-20 Summit.
Based on the outcome of previous G-20 Summits and the response of South Korean police to demonstrations in the past, it is almost guaranteed that the South Korean people can expect extreme police repression and increased erosion of their hard-won democracy, before, during, and after the summit. As in the past, the G-20 will almost certainly conclude in an undemocratic fashion, and will attempt to promote and solidify more of the same oppressive neoliberal policies the working people of the world struggle against every day. On the one side is neoliberalism, with all its repressive power and machinery of death; on the other side is humanity.
There will be a storm...

No 11 (92) NOVEMBER 2010
---------------------------------
MEDVEDEV: "WE DO NOT NEED A PEOPLE'S MILITIA, BUT A PROFESSIONAL POLICE FORCE" (OUR COMMENT ON THE NEW LAW "ON POLICE")
It is clear who and what the president has in mind when he says: "we need a professional police force." The main task of the police - and this follows from the new law "On Police" – is the suppression of the labour and the civil movement, and protection of the exploiting class from violations in every way possible.
The draft federal law "On Police" staged in the summer for open debate on the Internet, has provoked much discussion,. The people's attitude to the proposal to rename the militia to the police is sharply negative, many immediately dubbed the future employees of the new structure, policemen. (Actually, in Germany and Austria (and Britain) they are called that officially, but in the former Soviet people’s minds it is firmly established that a policeman – this means traitor).
The national-patriotic opposition raised a noise in the protection of the militia, believing that the comments of Internet users could significantly change the nature of the law. But detailed analysis of the bill has not yet been presented by the communist press.
It is known that federal laws should not contradict the Constitution, but can articles of one law contradict each other? In this bill there is an interesting phenomenon. Consider Article 9 (ensuring public confidence and support of citizens), Paragraph 4. It expressly states that a police officer "... shall show ID, unless it is not possible or inappropriate." Presumably, the question of "appropriateness" of this simple action is left to the discretion of the police officer. The same as in Paragraph 3 of this Article, where a police officer must explain to citizens the reason for the use of "such measures [force], as well as arising with these, the rights and duties, except in cases where such an explanation is impossible or inappropriate."
Article 5 of the bill specifically states: "A police officer has no right to resort to torture, violence or other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment ...." Why so crude? Here is Article 21, which governs the use of special equipment. In particular, their use is recognized as lawful in the case (paragraph 10) "of identifying persons who commit or have committed a crime or offence." That is to say, sorry, you cannot be kicked in the face – subjected to cruel treatment, but electricity to the earrings – that is alright?
Article 19 of the section "Use of physical force, special means and firearms” in the first paragraph it emphasizes: "the police officer before using physical force, special means and firearms has a duty to warn" of his intention, while the second paragraph reduces the effect of the first to zero, by saying: "A policeman has the right not to warn" of such intent in some cases.
The main task of the police – is the suppression of civil protest in the country.
In this context, it is characterized by Article 13 of the law ("Rights of the Police"). In it, there are neither more nor less than forty-two sub-paragraphs just in the first part alone. In particular, the right of "unimpeded access to organizations with their necessary materials, documents, statistics and other data” - for example, lists of the members of the organizations, when it comes to workers' trade unions or communist alliances. In addition, sub-paragraph 12 gives the police the right to "perform in accordance with federal law, seizure of documents, materials, messages and objects" (presumably, computers, personal letters, mailings, etc.).
Enshrined in law (sub-para. 7) is the right to "compel any person to leave a certain place or remove that person from it forcibly, if the conduct of such person poses a real threat to public order." And also enshrined is the right of a police officer "to appeal to groups of people who are in public places, with the requirement to scatter or move to another place, if the crowd of people gathered... is disruptive to the normal running of business, traffic and pedestrians." Here they are - the so long awaited reasons to ban any public events! In fact, this paragraph makes any protest activities crimes, and holding them, announces disobedience to authorities.
Those who by virtue of their citizenship and social activity had experience in recent years with the police, will at once realize that in the new law, as a right of the police, all actions will be documented, that for the militia is earlier officially considered illegal. This is evidenced, for example, in s.p. 34 of Article 13, allowing "free entry (penetrate) into residential and other premises of citizens, their own land, and territory ... occupied by non-governmental organizations." Article 15 also contributes to this, which governs the police power "to enter at any time residential and other facilities ... with damage, if necessary, to locks, ... and search them in the following cases: if there are sufficient grounds to believe that there is a crime being committed, as well as for the arrest of citizens ..., if there are accidents, epidemics, riots, ... to ensure the safety of individuals, society and the state."
In the section "Rights of the Police" is also the right "to engage citizens with their consent to freelance cooperation; establish tacit cooperation with individuals, to volunteer in a confidential manner to assist the police" - how to get a citizen's "agreement to assist the police", smart cops should guess for themselves (s.p. 39 Art. 13). Subparagraph 42 Article 13 gives the police the right to use "vehicles of organizations and citizens." This makes possible the following situation: in carrying out an order for the dispersal of events, or arrest of citizens, police can turn to an ambulance station and "use" an ambulance because people will not hide from cars or ambulances with a red cross,... A fantasy? Not at all. This ploy was used during the military coup in Chile in 1973. It is worth remembering how the high-ranking delegation and lush flew on behalf of the Russian Federation to the funeral of Pinochet, and it immediately becomes clear what "family ties" the Russian bourgeoisie feel with Chilean fascism.
In addition to the above, Article 13 has also paragraph 2, which modestly states: "The police perform other rights granted to it by Federal law." For example, the right "to cordon off (block off or kettle) parts of an area ... when undertaking activities to suppress rioting and group activities that breach the work of transport, communications, and businesses" (Article 16, Paragraph 1, subparagraph 2). In addition, "action to cordon off (block) may also be made in respect of residential premises and other buildings owned by citizens and organizations" (Article 16, p.3). This section is a direct and explicit response to the events in Mezhdurechensk on May 14, 2010 and reinforces the Law adopted in the wake of those events on transport safety. "
Of interest is also the completely new section for Russian bourgeois law "Use of special means" (article 21), in which these means are actually listed. So, in the arsenal of the valiant police there are the "means stopping the motion of biological objects (networks), water cannons, armoured vehicles, as well as "means for defending guarded sites and blocking the movement of groups of offenders (spirals). This refers to the so-called "Bruno spiral" – reinforced barbed wire rolled into a spiral, once in, a person cannot escape. Invented during the First World War, "Bruno spiral" was used in Vietnam, and its application after that, incidentally, was banned like the use of phosphorus in combat. That did not stop the use of this type of "fortification" in our country (Russia) in October 1993.
Many of the restrictions on the rights of a policeman are broken down for clarification "except for the case of armed resistance." Paragraph 2 of Article 23 gives the definition of armed resistance: "Armed resistance is recognized as that form of resistance, which is committed with the use of weapons of any kind, as well as objects, structurally similar to real weapons or objects ... with the help of which may cause serious bodily harm or death" . From this perspective then, the Tuvinsky policeman who shot two teenagers for holding a toy gun, was fully correct and acted within the law. True, the law itself at that time had not yet been in force, but that does not matter - Communists in Spain are being tried under a law which came into effect several years after the arrest of the accused.
According to paragraph 2 of Article 24, an armed police officer "has the right to shoot to kill ... if the person is trying to get something out of his clothes without permission from the police officer, or commit other acts that may be considered by a police officer as a threat of violence, or to seize his weapon. That is, a citizen stopped by police, for any of their movements runs the risk of being shot.
Let us recall the well-known fact "what is not banned, is allowed". Article 22 reminds us of this. “Bans on the use of special means and limits on their use." So, in the form of non-lethal weapons, subject to limited use in some cases, appear "rubber baton,” and strikes “on the head, neck, stomach and genitals, in the projection area of the heart " are prohibited. Handcuffs, water cannons (the use of which is “not allowed at temperatures below zero degrees Celsius” – so that the Russian police at least somewhat differ from the structure of the prototype), and armoured vehicles and “special colouring agents”. Another referred to some "improvised means of binding" (trouser belt, wire and tape on a person’s head?) Apparently, all the remaining (and in part, the invention of "tools", as international experience shows, the fantasy of experts is unlimited) special means, under the law are not banned and can be used without restrictions. And then, what does it mean to prohibit strikes by a "rubber baton”? Does that mean the police can strike with an iron baton, then? But what about the well known means of individual protection, hereinafter referred to as a gas mask, so popular in Russia the analogue of official "special means"?
A police officer under the new law is presented as a kind of fighting machine that has no feelings, mind, will or civil rights. This is evidenced by clarifying: "A police officer ... shall refrain from any action that may undermine the credibility of the police ..." (Article 7 paragraph 4) and also "Police officers in connection with their police service are prohibited from public statements, judgments and evaluations with respect to activities of state bodies and their heads; must not belong to political parties, be a member of a public association ...; create ... structures of political parties, public and religious associations or other organizations" (Art. 30, paragraphs 11, 13, 15). On the one hand, this is a response to a series of video-appeals by police to the president that rocked the Internet this year, and on the other - the de facto ban on police to protect their own rights, because under the definition of "other organizations" are subjected trade unions. In Latvia, Romania and some other countries, police officers, led by their trade unions, go on demonstrations against capitalism. Naturally, this is troubling and frightening the bourgeoisie all over the world.
Article 44 of the Bill envisages that "a police officer’s remuneration is made in the form of a monetary wage, which is the principal means of their material support." However, nothing is said about the minimum amount of such pay that the law condemns the family of low-ranking officers to a meagre existence.
In fact, the developers of the law "On Police" are trying not only to pit police officers of this structure against citizens, but certainly turn them into enemies. A person wishing "to enlist in the police" (the statement brings to mind read books and viewed films about World War II), commit to destroy in themselves all human affections and moral qualities such as independence, pride, desire for a better life and independent thinking.
Many ask the naive question, what is all the fuss around a title. Only two letters – do they solve anything? This question was unusually directly answered by Dmitry Medvedev: "Ever since the October Revolution, the law enforcement agencies in our country were called militia... Thus it emphasized their peoples, or, as they say, worker-peasant character. But we need professional people. We want police officers to work efficiently, honestly and cohesively.” First of all, to who - us? Clearly, the bourgeois leadership of the country is controlled by world imperialism. The President expressed the essence of the issue - the Soviet militia was a defender of the interests and rights of working people, and the current security structure, hereinafter called the police, is protecting criminals, robbing and exploiting the working people and all the wealth that rightfully belonged to the working people. The police force is a mercenary armed formation, focused on the direct suppression of the working-class and working people against their oppressors, the slaughter of the most active fighters for socialism, civil and other rights. And finally, one tiny addition - for those who believe in the benevolence of the modern "masters of life" and rushed to them to write their own amendments to the new law. Amendments and changes in the law is troublesome and requires the writing of a separate act and having it adopted by deputies (MP-s). And article 57 of the draft law expressly indicates the following: "This Federal Law shall enter into force on 1 January 2010."
Marina Anikin, member of the AUCPB
(FB-AUCPB comment….All the above “law on police” in Russia looks lifted from the British police force…Its all correct. A stark similarity, especially when one hears about all the deaths in custody, abuse and police violence directed at ordinary people as well as protestors and political activists, i.e. the recent attack by 6 police officers on an FB-AUCPB leading activist for merely holding a red flag at an anti-tory anti-cuts demonstration on Birmingham in the early part of October this year and the heavy handed tactics by the police in Brighton later in the month at a Smash EDO protest against an arms manufacturer. At that demonstration there were over 50 arrests made, numerous injuries suffered by several protestors including one with a head injury along with heavy handed police kettling tactics against protestors. Not forgetting also to mention the death by police of Ian Tomilison a passer by going home from work at last years G20 protests in London, after pushed onto the ground by a riot cop. The list goes on.)

DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF KOREA
On October 10, the Korean people celebrated the 65-th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea - the leadership and organizing power of socialist construction, the ruling party in the DPRK.
The founder of the Party, Comrade Kim Il Sung in the years of anti-Japanese struggle, at the first meeting of the Down with Imperialism Union (DIU) (17 October 1926), composed of young revolutionaries of the new generation of Korea, proclaimed the slogan - the overthrowing of imperialism, to achieve liberation and independence of Korea, and its final objective to build Korean socialism, communism, and then worldwide communism. The DIU became the embryo of the building of the future Communist Party of North Korea. The leading core of the future party was formed from a circle of partisan brigades under the leadership of Kim Il Sung that fought against Japanese colonialism. The path of the Korean revolution was marked by President Kim Il Sung at the Kalun Meeting of the DIU in June 1930, which identified a course on creation of the Communist Party in the crucible of the deployment of anti-Japanese armed struggle and the establishment of a united national front.
Soon after the liberation of Korea (August 15, 1945), on October 10, 1945 in Pyongyang the founding congress of the Communist Party of North Korea was held, which was later renamed the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). General Secretary of the WPK since the founding of the Party until 1994 was Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung. On October 8, 1997, Great Leader Kim Jong Il was elected to this highest party post.
The emblem of the party at the suggestion of the Great Leader is the sickle, hammer and brush, joined together, which means the class alliance between the peasants, working class and working intellectuals. The ideology of the WPK is the communist ideology of Juche - independence, sovereignty and self-reliance.
"Our party exists in the name of the people and fights for its interests" (Kim Jong Il). The 65-year-old pathway of the party shows that the WPK has always put the interests of the people and the fight for the constant improvement of their lives as its cornerstone. The Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung travelled the country a lot and therefore knew how people live and what to do first. This tradition is implemented fully by the successor of his cause, Great Leader Kim Jong Il. The spiritual closeness of the leader and the people has turned Korean society into a monolithic bastion that eludes any storms or natural or political provocations of imperialism. The people are proudly and confidently building their own excellent and prosperous future, displaying heroism in their work and storming the heights of science and technology that provides a constant rise in the level of education of the people and its culture.
The people affectionately call the WPK the party of Kim Il Sung, thereby paying tribute to the living exploits of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung. The people's love for the present leader - Kim Jong Il appears in the boundless confidence of the people and a willingness to follow him, overcoming all obstacles in their path. Therefore, such people are invincible. This is evident especially in today's extremely tense political situation in the world and the great desire of world imperialism to blow up our WORLD and destroy civilization.
The huge steadfastness and willpower of Kim Jong Il constantly forces U.S. imperialism to stop and not give the imperialist vultures the chance to carry out their criminal step towards the destruction of our planet. Therefore, the DPRK today, led by the Workers' Party of Korea and its great leader Comrade KIM JONG IL, has a powerful shield, a nuclear shield, to halt the aggression of the American madmen who are pushing the world into an abyss.
We congratulate the heroic Korean people, led by their glorious Leader on their wonderful birthday – the 65-th anniversary of the WPK, and we wish the Korean people every success in their advancement towards a prosperous socialist country.
CC AUCPB
A greeting telegram has been sent by the General Secretary of the Central Committee of AUCPB, N.A. Andreeva addressed to the General Secretary of the of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Comrade Kim Jong Il on the occasion of this significant date in the DPRK.

PRESIDENT MEDVEDEV HEADS A CAMPAIGN ON "DE-STALINIZATION OF PUBLIC CONSCIOUSNESS"
Russian president Dmitry Medvedev recently signed a decree appointing Mikhail Fedotov, as Russian presidential adviser and chairman of the Presidential Council for Civil Society Institutions Development and Human Rights. "The priorities of the Presidential Council for Civil Society Institutions Development and Human Rights will be the de-Stalinization of the public consciousness, as well as judicial reform and the militia" - Mikhail Fedotov told Interfax. According to him, almost all materials on these issues "are at the highest stage of readiness." "I expect that by the end of the year they will be presented to the president" - added Fedotov. "While we do not do this, we cannot breathe and become equal with other nations” - he said. – “We must not abandon our history, but we must say that this is history and realize that we have changed". According to Fedotov, "in 1991, there was a bloodless revolution, but de-Stalinization did not take place." "I saw that the president sees this as very important advice, and not a bow, not a steam safety valve, but a tool to develop and implement public policy" - said Fedotov, after meeting with Medvedev.
Russian human rights activists and the "democratic" opposition welcomed the appointment of Mikhail Fedotov, the head of the Presidential Council for Human Rights, reported “Radio Svoboda”. Fedotov has proved "his integrity and commitment to democratic convictions," said the head of the Moscow Helsinki Group, Lyudmila Alekseeva. Russian ombudsman Vladimir Lukin has called his colleague a "man of very obvious and very clear democratic convictions." The leaders of the Yabloko party and "Just Cause" Sergei Mitrokhin and Leonid Gozman called the presidential elections "successful" and noted "the experience and good knowledge of the problems of civil society," by Fedotov. Mikhail Fedotov is a "democrat" with the experience. He was a minister of press and information in the government of Gaidar and Chernomyrdin, and headed the Union of Russian Journalists. Open admission that "destalinization of the public consciousness" is the most important part of state policy in Russia is a momentous event, which makes explicit the fact that in recent decades attempts were made secretly to make Soviet people "bourgeois robots", experiencing the delight of the possibility to start his or her own "private business" who had forgotten their glorious Soviet history, spitting on their own Motherland, gaping into the mouth of the "democratic" culturists, dragging stale "cultural values" from the West. The years and decades have passed by, but the Soviet people stubbornly insist: "from the works of the righteous, one cannot build houses of stone".
One can understand the "democrats". Despite all their frantic attempts, they have failed to discredit the name of Stalin. The anti-Stalin campaign, running for more than half a century, has failed. The announcement of "de-Stalinization" of state policy is the best proof. The popularity of Stalin and the Soviet-era in the public consciousness has been steadily increasing. More than 60% of the population support Stalin. This is also confirmed by the failure of the broadcast by Svanidze Co. the host on Russia’s TV Channel 5 of the dirty and provocative program "Judge of Time". Svanidze Co. looking all puzzled, look for answers to the "paradox" of why the rigged answers in their studio to the question "Did the Bolsheviks - save or destroy Russia?" come up with..and he answers: "they destroyed Russia" (71% of voters) but you (the people) who phoned in to vote, it shows absolutely the opposite result - 72% of those phoning in responded: "they saved Russia." This haunts those in power who feel the "fragility" of the political situation in the country, the instability of their position. Government politicians, economists, administrators are at a loss - the entire Soviet reserve of firmness "has rusted away ", the machinery and equipment are obsolete and have not achieved anything: they are neither competitive nor bring growth, and the fields are overgrown with weeds. The system cannot rule in the old way. The cherished dream of the "democrats" - "people, to your feet!" has not been realised! What is to be done?
There remains one thing - to gather in the Council of Human Rights the last battalions of the "faithful democrats" (probably the very ones about whom Stalin said: "the truth is guarded by a battalion of lies") and in battle - we'll show them!"
And nothing is going right for you, gentlemen! It is possible for a time to make fools of part of the people and to hide from them the truth, but you cannot destroy it. From your "de-Stalinization" we Communists-Stalinists, have gained only an additional incentive to intensify and consolidate our fight against the threat of further fascization of the regime, in our opposition to total bourgeois lies.
True history will triumph!

WAR OF THE POWER AGAINST THE ORDINARY POPULATION OF UKRAINE
30.09.2010 05:25
POVERTY IN UKRAINE
When comparing the buying and payment capabilities of salaries and pensions of the majority of the population (with the purchase of basic food products and payments for housing and utilities) in two decades: up to 1992 and from 1992 to the present time - and without a higher education, it can be seen that the standard of living of citizens of the USSR was stable and among the highest in Europe. For example, housing and utilities were cheaper at least by10 times than now, and it was quite a small proportion of family income. Now the standard of living in Ukraine has dropped to the level of the most backward countries in the world. In the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, they were not afraid of the world's financial and economic crises. There was never a delay salary payments. No one replaced the well-deserved retirement age pension for the so-called pension for those "incapacitated by old age”, a pension which one cannot survive on.
So, is this is not a genocide or war of the power against the ordinary populaiton of Ukraine?! And what kind of decency can the government in current Ukrain talk of, if the extinction of the population is similar to cannibalism, only it is being carried out indirectly!?!
There is no comparison between the current poverty-stricken life and the dignified life of the people of labour, of all the people in Soviet Socialist Ukraine.
OUR REPORTER., Zaporozhye
POWERLESSNESS OF THE SITUATION
I remain for 12 years of residence in Michurin street, a powerless man in Ukraine. The roof and attic still flood with rains after the hurricane in July 26, 2007. For many years I have been writing about the restoration of my rights to light, water, gas, etc. - Some replies. The then Minister for Emergency, Shufrich deceived me in 2007, promising to help. And until now, I have been writing to Yanukovych to get Shufrich to answer for his deception.
N.P. Guz, Smela, Cherkasy region.
A CRY FOR HELP
We have repeatedly written in the pages of our newspapers ("Workers 'and Peasants' Truth") about the struggle of the workers in the Kherson Combine Plant (now the OOO "HMZ") for their rights, right to work, at decent wages and a normal human life. However, this struggle has not brought success, many thousands of factory workers disbanded and thrown onto the street, and except for a few hundred people, production of combine harvesters has stopped. We publish below a letter by the plant employees to the current President of Ukraine, Yanukovich.
Dear Viktor Fedorovich!
Once again, the long-suffering team Kherson combine builders appeals to you, with a request to prevent the final collapse of the company and enable it to produce our domestic “Slavutich” combine harvesters, which are no worse than imported ones, and may in some casebe better than them, to give jobs to the unemployed Kherson workers.
Your visit to the factory in 2004, when the plant was nearly in the same state, gave a positive result, the company came to life in full swing, and we began to produce 200 combines annually. But the joy for factory workers lasted not for long, because in came the "orange" government, which helped to plunder and “kill” the plant.
They did not complete the dirty deed, because in February 2009 in defending their second home, the entire staff of factory workers rose up. Our representatives are still standing along the walls of the regional administration, reminding the authorities about the disaster that befell the plant.
The current owner of the factory of 2500 workers has left it with only about 400 people, including security, and so many workers can not provide the output of quality combines. This, I may say, "master" simply stole the money in 2008 to the amount of 5,4 million UAH., allocated by the state to modernize the “Slavutich” combine harvestor and has still not been punished, even though prosecutors in Kherson region have opened a criminal case on this. Currently, the "boss" is delivering “Polesie” combine harvesters to the factory already built" and is sellings them as having been assembled at "HMZ".
During the presidential election, people voted for you in the hope that you will establish order, and that such companies as our plant would operate at full capacity. After all, Ukraine has no factories that could produce such a harvester.
We demand from you as the guarantor of the Constitution, as the leader of the country and, eventually, as a man not indifferent to the plight of our endangered people by fault of the "orange" regime to decide to return the plant to the state, to enter the company in the register of strategic enterprises in Ukraine, to develop a state program for the purchase of domestic harvesters, to instruct the relevant authorities to investigate and punish those guilty of stealing Kherson Combine Plant.
We believe that restoring production capacity should be at the expense of those responsible, including the former heads of state.
Sincerely, several thousand staff of Kherson Combine Plant.
From the Editor: Dear comrades! We are totally on your side in the struggle for your human rights. But you must understand that Yanukovych – is the president of a bourgeois state, which expresses the interests of big capitalists in Ukraine. Such people as Akhmetov, Firtash and others like them, made their billions of dollars through the plunder of the people of Ukraine, the privatization of factories, mills, mines, etc., ie, stealing the people's property and getting rich at our expense. The destruction of industry and agriculture of Ukraine, its economic and scientific potential began with the treacherous destruction of our great socialist motherland. This destruction and looting in Ukraine was started by Kravchuk, then Kuchma continued it, then the Yushchenko-Tymoshenko, and now the results of this robbery ends with Yanukovych. Ukraine's President has promised a period of 5 years to complete privatization, i.e., the complete the transfer to private hands – to the same owners, as well as yours and successive directors of the remaining largest enterprises in Ukraine. Yanukovych-Azarov do not care about the ordinary people (we already wrote that the government of Azarov include multimillionaires, i.e. people who have got wealthy at our expense), they faithfully represent and will defend the interests of capital, the interests of the bourgeoisie – thieves. Look what is happening in Ukraine - excessively and rapidly rising prices and tariffs for all the necessities of life. The regime of Yanukovich-Azarov is seeking to withdraw Ukraine from the crisis (in which the whole world has been driven into by U.S. financial monopoly capital), as well as the bourgeoisie of all countries at the expense of human labor, that is, at our expense.
And the only salvation, the only way out of this plight – is the continuation of the struggle for our rights, whose ultimate goal is to destroy the power of capital and the restoration of our own workers and peasants Soviet power.
To do this requires that your struggle is supported the workers of other enterprises of Kherson, and then the whole of Ukraine. Joining together in the many millions of fighters across the Ukraine, across our Soviet motherland, we will overthrow the bourgeoisie.

APPEAL BY SAILORS ABOUT THE COLLAPSE OF THE RUSSIAN ARMY AND NAVY
20.09.2010 07:31
On September 16, members of the Central Council of the Union of sailors appealed to President Medvedev in an open letter in which they express "extreme concern over the current state of the Armed Forces." They urge him "to stop the insane and voluntaristic reforms undertaken by a group of amateurs who are alien to military affairs" and demand "the dismissal of Defense Minister Serdyukov and all his deputies, not mess their names in trading off the land of the Ministry of Defense, the criminal sellout of ships of the fleet and army equipment and skilled professionals."
The appeal is published below.
"To President of the Russian Federation (Russia)
To the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces
Mr Dmitry Anatolyevich Medvedev,
MR SUPREME COMMANDER!
We, the members of the Central Council of the Union of sailors, representing current and former sailors - admirals, officers, warrant officers, petty officers and sailors and their family members, express our extreme concern about the current state of the Armed Forces. It is impossible not to see a sharp decrease in their combat readiness and national defense falling to unacceptably low levels, threatening the very existence of our country. Military science, military education, control and communications, fire service, the Defense Ministry, military medicine, military transport service, military commissariat, the rear of the Armed Forces, orchestral service, a system of military sanatoria and rest homes, the defense industry have all been destroyed or disorganized. Living standards and status of soldiers and veterans of the army and navy have been drastically reduced. The most independent and competent admirals, generals, officers, warrant officers and warrant officers have all been ejected from office or resigned, have soberly perceive the inferiority and criminality of the leadership of the Defense Ministry. The reduction of hundreds of thousands of officers is causing irreparable damage to the combat readiness units, units and ships. Dropouta, hucksters, unprincipled careerists, incidental to the cause of national defense ladies and gentlemen have been assigned to senior and responsible positions. Aversion and aversion to military service by young people and their parents has significantly increased. The slogan of giving the Armed Forces a "new image" has been totally discredited, degenerating into a scarecrow and an object of ridicule for all reasonable levels of society.
We urge you, as the Supreme Commander, to immediately stop these insane and voluntaristic reforms undertaken by a group of amateurs who are alien to military affairs, who are only capable of destroying, dividing and selling off what is left of the Armed Forces which defeated fascism, made to kneel the strongest militarist state of the planet, the regimes of Germany and Japan.
The present Defense Minister has misinformed leaders of Russia and its citizens, criminally hiding and falsifying the disastrous state of the Armed Forces, which until now have been brought to this state by his direct and active participation.
We insist on the immediate dismissal of Defense Minister Serdyukov and all his deputies, a thorough investigation of their activities with the involvement of these specialists in military affairs, not to mess their names with the selloff of land of the Ministry of Defense, the criminal sellout ships of the Navy and army equipment, skilled professionals able to distinguish white from black, the true patriots of our motherland. As such experts may be proposed Col. Gen. Ivashov, Vice-Admiral Volobuev. Under their leadership, there should be a commission of military experts, members of the public of a number of competent and honest people, authorized special services, prosecutors and an investigative committee. We consider it necessary to provide unrestricted access for the members of this commission to all sites of the Army and Navy and materials on the state of affairs in the Armed Forces. The results and proposals on rescuing the country's defense capabilities must be immediately reported to you, as the Supreme Commander and communicated to our fellow citizens.
We also believe in the immediate establishment of an state of emergency committee, headed personally by President of the Russian Federation with the participation of competent members of the State Duma and Federation Council members, to restore the readiness and combat capability of the Armed Forces. We believe it inappropriate to include in this committee, persons who are now members of the Committee on Defense, former political workers, and their compromising position of which contributed to bringing the Armed Forces to its current state.
If measures to rescue the country's defense capabilities will not be taken as soon as possible, the very existence of the state, its integrity and the peaceful life of our citizens will be called into question, and your duty as a guarantor of the Constitution and the Supreme Commander, and will remain indebted to the future generations of a former Great State sunken into oblivion.
We have the honor, on behalf of the Central Council of the Navy
Chairman of the Union, Captain, retired member of combat operations.

PICKET IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE CUBAN FIVE IN KRASNOYARSK
On September 29 in the framework of the international campaign for the liberation of the Five Cuban Heroes, in Krasnoyarsk, near the monument “Kandalny Put’” a picket was held. The event was organized by the "Revolutionary Patriotic Union of Krasnoyarye" under the auspices of the regional organization of the AUCPB.
We recall, that for 12 years (since September 12, 1998) in American high-security prisons have been unjustly and illegally held five heroes of the Republic of Cuba, fighting against international terrorism. They exposed the plans of the Miami terrorist groups operating against Cuba with the help of the U.S. government, to defend their homeland from terrorist attacks. These people were condemned without evidence, to huge prison terms - up to double life. They are hostages of hatred by the imperialist United States towards the Cuban Revolution. Progressive world community all these years have been fighting for the liberation of the courageous Five.
The protesters unfurled banners «STOP the embargo against Cuba," "Freedom Now! Libertad ahora! Viva Cuba! ". They circulated newspapers "Hammer and Sickle", "Workers 'and Peasants' Truth", "Bulletin of the RPSK, as well as thematic leaflets “12 years in captivity of American reaction." Bolsheviks, V.N. Komarov, N.M. Shafranov, E. Fatyanova in brief speeches explained to the audience the essence of the aggressive anti-Cuban policy of the United States and the current state of affairs of the Five. Also read out was a statement demanding the immediate release of prisoners of imperialism and the lifting of the blockade of the island of Liberty, signed by leaders of the "Revolutionary Patriotic Union of Krasnoyarye. Many picketers also expressed their willingness to sign it. The text of the statement is below. Interestingly, among the protesters was a WWII veteran who fought alongside Vasily Stalin.
The event triggered heightened interest by the law enforcement. So, literally every step of the participants was carefully fixed on camera by a plain clothes cop, in addition, there was an attempt to prohibit speech under a hackneyed excuse "you have declared a picket." Despite this, the action took place without incident.
STATEMENT
For the immediate release of the Five Heroes
The policies of the government of the United States in relation to Free Cuba was and remains aggressive. The imperialists have not abandoned their attempts to destroy the gains of the Cuban Revolution. One of the manifestations of this shameful policy of hostility is the blockade of the island, continuing for half a century.
Increasingly, this confrontation on part of the United States assumes the character of open warfare. Anti-Cuban gangster groups, based in Florida, with the approval and support of government and financial circles of American society carry out terrorist acts against the Cuban people, encroaching on its freedom and independence.
At the same time, inside U.S. security prisons for 12 years continue to be wrongfully and illegally held five Cubans - fighting against international terrorism, exposing the plans of the armed groups of the anti-Cuban mafia. In fact, they are hostages of hatred of the U.S. imperialists towards the Cuban Revolution.
We declare our solidarity with the Cuban Revolution. We express our admiration for the people of Cuba, under the leadership of Fidel and Raul Castro's courage in building socialism under the brutal economic blockade and continuing military threat from world imperialism.
We demand an immediate end to the blockade of the island of Liberty. In case of failure to do so by the United States, we call on governments and the heads of all states, primarily Russia, to ignore the blockade and to restore trade relations with Cuba.
We demand the immediate release of the Five Heroes, fighters against international terrorism and call for their return to their homeland.
Demand the prosecution for terrorist activities the leaders of illegal armed groups against Cuba, gangs that are enjoying the undeserved protectorate of the United States, in the first place - the notorious international terrorist Luis Posada and Orlando Bosch whose extradition has been sought for many years by Cuba and several Latin American countries.
